Perfect for pouring carbonated water if you want the carbonation to stay in the water.Carbonated water uses higher pressure to carbonate than beer. This means that even with a long serving line,the water comes out of a regular tap way too fast. The Perlick 650ss lets you regulate the flow so thatthe carbonated water comes out slow enough to retain more of the carbonation.Now I can put the syrup into the bottle first, and gently pour the carbonated water on top of it, cap the bottle,and give a little shake to mix, let it sit for a minute, and enjoy my home made Ginger Beer.

The faucet itself is fantastic, and flow control valve is great for dialing in a perfect pour, no matter the system setup. My order didn't come with a tap handle though. I ended up turning one on my lathe as a quick replacement, but it was a bummer not being able to just hook it up and be ready to go.

I was wondering how this would work. I had been having problems with my old taps "freezing up" due to crystallization of sugars. It seemed I would have to really work hard to force the faucets to work or remove them and soak them for a while before they were usable. After doing a lot of research I learned that this was due to the piston placement relative to the flow of the beer. These Perlick forward sealing flow controls faucets work PERFECTLY. I was VERY happy to discover that my tap faucets worked great after being out of the area for a couple of weeks. I would highly recommend these faucets.

When everything was set up and installed the faucets had to be opened up almost all the way to pour out beer without foam. The beer had to be poured into a pitcher and settle because if I closed the faucet to slow the flow it would come out all foam. I switched to original faucet without control handle and beer came out normally. Felt like I got cheated on this buy

Used this faucet for freezer kegerator build, and this is the only faucet I would consider using for this project. Easy to install, adjustment of flow is easily controlled, quality throughout and a prime item. What's not to love, if building a kegerator this is the faucet for you.

The best faucet with an option - a flow control lever for a dialed in beer/beverage the way you like it...beer with a over/under co2 carbination can be restricted or increased w/o Co2 regulator adjustments, and most importantly when you just need to get every last drop out of your keg. Also great for filling to-go growlers or bottles. What is not to like? Worth the extra $15.
