Scanking Discone 25 To 1300MHz Antenna

Thanks again moonraker excellent product improve reception and the quality is good easy to set up you wilm need pl259 plug we have plenty using rg59 coax all set up in loft performance is great value for money .

I have bought x2 of these and they have improved my reception massively from my Moonraker Skyscan mobile antennas which were positioned in the same location. I have them on my extension roof because I am unable to situate them on the main roof. I live in Essex and pick up Heathrow Tower and Ground, Biggin Hill Gatwick and Stansted frequencies.. very happy with my purchase and don't blow over in the wind lol

Having to find a mounting pole in lockdown! The one supplied is way too small, needs to be at least a metre especially if like me and installing in a loft on a loft floor mount. (Building too high and too close to others to access and fit externally) Had to self-support for a week until a piece of aluminium tubing was delivered.

Unfortunately quality control isn't the best on this discone antenna. 3 holes for the radials to screw into weren't tapped with a thread. I had to take the top section to a local engineer and get them to tap threads in for me.

Well made, easy to assemble and recommended. Be aware though that it does need a PL259 plug (not supplied) to connect the aerial lead.

A good basic discone, which I have installed in the loft. I'd have spent more were I mounting on the roof but for the price it's fine and works.
