Fit perfectly, quiet, and has the attachment points for the plastic shield
This went right on, fit perfectly, is quieter than the original one ever was, and even had the attachment points so I could mount the factory plastic shield to it - on some replacement motors you have to drill your own holes or use self tapping screws. Perfect.

DYI in Garage on jack stands 2-18-24
This is a excellent direct replacement that I purchased and installed on our 2010 Suburban just this afternoon.. It took me 3 hours from start to finish, and I am a salesman with common sense, and made one trip to Harbor Freight for metric allan wrench. There are some really good youtube videos to watch prior, and you don't need a lift. I did it in on my garage floor. The running board must be extended out prior before you begin. Presoak all bolts with penetrating oil, as mine were super rusty. Unplug the power supply to the old motor when it is in open position. *** Online video told me to hook up the new replacement motor, and it must be also in the open position as well. ^^Please do this step^^Please spend the extra money and make sure the running board motor you have purchased has the bracket attached!! Corrosion and 10 plus year of road debris will not allow you to get the bolts out of the old one. Prior to your installation, crawl underneath and spray all the bolts and nuts that you see with WD-40 or a penetrating oil and let it soak.. You will need a floor jack, and I put 4x4 blocks under the wheels to give me room to crawl under, and I went back and forth many times. Tools needed, 13mm and 10mm shallow and deep wheel sockets, and 10 mil wrench. 4 mil hex wrench for 2 very tiny screws that hold motor to the 5ft long rocker panel bracket. Step must come off truck, you cannot get these 2 bolts loose until its on ground. I tried and its impossible!! 5/32 allan wrench to remove 2 screws that hold motor bracket to the step. Please note again, The entire running board must be removed ( I tried not to, you have too..) (there are 2 hidden 3/16 and or 4 mm hex screws that will not allow you to remove step motor if running boards remains on the truck!Pay attention with removing the 2 long 13MM boltss, and the the 5 13MM short ones. If you stick any of the 2 long bolts in bottom bracket, they could puncture your air conditioning lines. Saturate all the bolts and nut cages prior to reassembly. After reassembly, and I put our Suburban back on ground. I jumped in the Suburban, turned the key on and the steps retracted perfectly. The videos on YouTube showed how to reset the system, if it did not. Shut all the doors. Turn the key to on position, but don't start. Push the step switch on dash below the radio 3 times in and out 3 times within 20 seconds. Turn the key to off position. Turn the key back on and system will have been reset.. Open car door and step should extend. Best of luck!!

Well worth the $$
Perfect fit... Works just like new again. Be aware though that in order to use factory cover for motor u will have to use self tapping screws to put that back on the new unit. But they give you plenty of material to do that with.Yes there were cheaper ones out there but this comes with the bracket ..plug-in play...Bottom line well worth the 250 bucks!!!

Easiest way to fix automatic running boards
Don’t waste your time trying to go the cheap route with just the motor. Definitely but the one with the motor and the bracket. Took about 30 minutes to change out after I spend several hours on several days trying to remove motor from bracket. This was the better route.
