Great knife!
The quality of this knife is superior to many other much more expensive knives. The edge on this knife is so sharp it's scary. The fit of the knife in its kydex sheath is a pleasure, with that nice click to catch or release the knife. The g10 grip is very comfortable and makes the knife easy to use. I cannot recommend this knife more. I liked the first one i got so much I bought one for each man in the family.

5 finger knife
I have bought 2 knives from this company. The firstTAC OLL-005 Which I rated highly. Add note that I would probably buy a second which I did. This time, the OLF-1009Now to the rating. The blade is 5 finger in length. Likewise, the handle is also 5 finger and length. Makes it the perfect field Knife Big enough to get the job done. Not big enough to injure the operator. Blade thickness is just about perfect. Giving it enough backbone to get the toughest job done. It's a little heavier on the heavy side, which is indicative of quality knife steel. Out of the box, it's razor-sharp, be careful. A heavier knife tends to be easier to use. As for the handle, it is a very nice size. Fits my average male hand well. As for the sheath, The kydex design as pros and cons.It can flip from horizontal to vertical. And in the vertical it carries high. My personal feelings is at this knife would be better served with a good quality leather Thumbbreak sheath ( Designed for a tactical belt clip) As the Kydex sheath, Is tough to remove and is inherently noisy. I'm thinking that this is gonna become my go to all around carry knife. This knife is rivaling a knife. That I paid 3 timesThe money for

A "little" tank of a knife
The good: It's built extremely well for a sub $30 fixed blade knife. With 5mm stock, it feels like you could drive it to it's hilt, hook it up to your tractor and pull stumps with it. It's over-built for sure. I appreciate that. I had to immediately weigh it as it "feels" far heavier in hand than 6.4oz, but that's what it is because it's short. It's decently sharp out of box, took just a couple min to get it to my standard and I expected that. Not a complaint. The sheath is fine for this price point. It is a poor mans version of a tek-lock and it works on a regular pack strap without putting the spacers in. Some have complained it's not tek-lock quality...it's not, but for this price, it's perfectly reasonable. Retention was good as I couldn't shake it out, but I think your mileage could very with a mass produced inexpensive knife. Easily remedied with a heat gun if it needs a tighter fit for safe inverted carry. Don't be afraid to modify your knife to suit your needs. Best part...It's only $30 so if it's lost or stolen (don't see it breaking, but any edge can be chipped), you shouldn't lose sleep over it.The downside: It's simple 420HC steel. Not a knock, but it's not high end or even 440 so expect to have to sharpen it after moderate use. Biggest point...Understand the dimensions before purchasing, especially the handle. It's listed at 3.74", but that's out to the very end of the lanyard...it's really like 3.25" of usable handle. That's not going to be comfortable for big hands as an everyday user. I don't have big hands and it's fine for a pack/bug out bag or something durable to have in the truck. Design looks great, but I really feel this and other models should be 1/2" - 1" longer...most of it in the handle area. Some guys are not going to recommend it or buy other models because of this...so that's a major miss by the company. In the end I'm very pleased with it's quality for the price. It suits my intended purpose and fits my hand well enough for that purpose. If you need a "high use" EDC or "Primary" fixed blade for survival, tactical or other reasons, you should be looking to spend much more and find something that fits your hand well. Look at an ESSE, RAT or something in that price range. This is more of an inexpensive emergency back-up that will be able to hold up to some major abuse if needed.

Close enough
This was almost exactly the fixed blade EDC I have wanted. Well balanced. Decent weight and nicely balanced - although I would say it's too heavy if you're looking for a long trek backpacking knife. The sheath holds the blade securely. I have it belted sideways and I have had no scares that ithe blade would pop out of the sheath on its own. The handle is wide enough to feel confident when holding the knife. The only criticism is the handle is a little short. Another half inch on the handle would make this EDC perfect. That may not seem like much but when you buy it you will see exactly what I mean.

Thick, Strong & Durable!
“Oerla, please round out the lanyard hole ‘hot spot’! The smaller size of this knife causes that corner to create discomfort in the palm of your hand.”“Other than that, I love this knife! It’s heavy in the hand so is an effective small chopper due to that weight. It’s very sharp and easily maintained, due to the 440c stainless steel blade. Small size, big duty capable. The thick full tang blade can move away from the picnic table and into the brush for some heavy duty bushcraft! This smaller sturdy knife can take a lot of punishment in the woods, it’s a knife you can easily carry, stow, or build tools with. The paddle sheath makes this easy to shove in your back pocket for quick access. G10 scales, thick 440c steel, and a bushcraft workhorse! Get rid of the ‘Rambo’ show pieces, and get a smaller blade with the strength and durability of any ‘Rambo’ type con.”
