Perfect fit

Works well enough. It is just a touch larger then the one I had on my XL. It drops to the top of the egg VS the other one stopped before bottoming out.

Received in perfect shape and fits just like the original. Wouldn't be able to tell it's not the original. My medium egg didn't come with one. As the egg takes a long time to cool down after cooking, it's a good piece to use in place of the actual cast iron cooking vent piece at the top. Newer eggs don't have a removable vent. Mine does. If you leave that on overnight, and you have rain or heavy dew on the egg in the morning, the vent will show rust from moisture on it overnight. Then you have to renew it by oiling the lid and baking it in your oven for a couple of hours to bake the oil and shin back in. These removable vents are just like an unseasoned piece of cash iron and that's the procedure to keep them in shape.
