The construction of the panels is great, coming with a sheet of drywall already installed ...
I bought two of these to install in a 2x4 framed ceiling with 24" centers. The construction of the panels is great, coming with a sheet of drywall already installed and ready to float/texture. The catch mechanism is nice in that you push to close, then push again to release the latches. It even comes with a thin foam strip around the door panel so that it seals nicely when closed. The only negative thing I have to say is that some of the aluminum welds were big (1/4" tall), causing the panel frame to not sit flush with the 2x4 frame. However, I just used my grinder to take some of the height off of the weld.

How about some INSTRUCTIONS
The product itself is pretty good. I have to do some additional cutting, grinding and drilling to get everything to my standards. The actual opening is about an inch narrower when you account for the latches which may be important. While I was able to eventually figure out all of the nuances, a set of such notes included would've been helpful, like you gotta cut a notch out for the tongue and so on. I was very confused until I noticed it had a tongue. The product suffers from "saving 5 dollars syndrome", where it's the little touches get overlooked in the interest of saving 5 dollars, and making it a less than good experience for the installer. This may be the lack of an actual knowledgeable product manager. And your online video is pointless and outdated that covers nothing.

Very nice unit, installed nicely and is working well
Very nice unit, installed nicely and is working well. Depending on your install, need to make sure it will fit in your area. As the saying goes measure twice (or 99 times) and cut once.
