Fantastic
Just fantastic for making the hum non-existent. Nice to have the gate option as well for metal.Best pedal like this that’ve ever tried. Do thr 4 cable method (videos on you tube) instead of the way the manual suggests.

The correct cabling method makes ALL the difference!
When I originally got this pedal, I was extremely disappointed in it. I run my pedalboard in four cable mode, with my boost slamming the front of my EVH 5150 50S and all my effects in the effects loop of the amp. However, when I originally hooked this pedal up in the configuration I intuitively thought it should go, there was a noticeable tone-suck going on. So I relegated it to the graveyard of my ever-growing useless pedal pile and went back to using my cheap Bezos Noise-Gate pedal.A few days ago I stumbled on a video that showed me how to do 4CM the correct way with this pedal - namely ‘X’ pattern 4CM - and when I tried it out, WHAMMO! It took a bit of doing, but no more tone-suck and, with a bit of tweaking of the settings, I got lush, articulate, noise-free guitar tone in return. For me, being a high-gain player, this is an always-on pedal. But there’s another secret that I love. When you select the ‘mute’ mode and shut the pedal off, it defaults to one of the other two modes, Gate or Dampen, automatically. You can choose which mode you want to be the default and it remembers even after you shut it off. Kick the pedal on again and it does what it says on the tin, mutes the signal. Why is this a good thing? No extra tap-dancing steps when you power the entire board on. It’s already in the correct mode with my settings active when everything else comes up as well! It’s just one less hassle before getting down to business and I love the attention to detail that went into the design. So, if you are experiencing tone-suck from this pedal in 4CM, short and brutal, you’re doing it wrong. Look up some YouTube videos to see how to do it correctly. I went from angry that I had bought an expensive, but useless pedal, to thoroughly stoked, with this one little adjustment.

Best Pedal You'll Never Hear
I wanted a noise gate to help stop single coil hum for when lining the body in copper foil isn't enough. After trying other offerings, I found myself in a world that is totally satisfactory for medal playing, but left a lot to be desired when you turn the gain down. Most of them chop the signal short, latch too soon, or aren't responsive and dynamic enough to let dynamics and sustained notes through while blocking the noise. This...fixes that. Single coils, humbuckers, high gain tones, radio broadcasts, etc. Plug the input in right after your tuner so the pedal knows when your guitar is making noise. Set up a dirt pedal chain in the send/return loop, and connect your output to your modulation section or amp. With a few knob tweaks, you're missing the noise...

Must have pedal
This is a one amazing must have pedal, makes the whole world of difference once used in a 'loop' or 4-cable setup model through pre-amp. Eliminates all the static and other noises to a point of me forgetting to turn off an amp at times.I use this now all the time with heavy distortion pedals like MT-2/ML-2/DS-1.I've tried previously NS-2 model, and this is far superior due to having both gate and reduction modes that operate differently.

Excellent pedal IF you set it up as designed
I've had a ton of gate and noise suppressors but this is the best. I play through a Mesa Triple Rectifier and a Marshall JVM. The issue with the other pedals I've tried was that they could control the JVM's noise just fine, but when I switched to a clean channel or played a note softly, it would start to suppress it. When I first got this pedal I set it up incorrectly with only using 2 of the 4 input/outputs. It was no better than all the other pedals I've had. But then I took the time to set the cable configuration as designed, and it is just amazing.SIGNAL FLOW: Guitar goes straight into the "INPUT" on the pedal. The pedal "SEND" goes to the overdrive pedals which then go directly into the Amp's main guitar input. The amp FX loop send goes into the pedal "RETURN". Lastly the pedal "OUTPUT" goes to the front of chain of pedals which ultimately lead back to the amp FX loop return.I recommend finding videos on YouTube to explain how to set it up.

Solid, great controls
This is definitely a high quality professional pedal. You can use it several ways. I'm using it the simple way and it works great! It costs a little more, but this one is worth it!
