Amazing product to use with fire core laser level. Just set the grade for my patio project out back.

The Firecore Laser is very accurate, but needed a receiver for out-of-doors work. The Firecore Laser Receiver is wonderful and made my out-side work easy and accurate.

Device worked on first try then died. Batteries quickly heated up to the brink of burning and had to be quickly removed. New batteries were used but device would not work. Very disappointing.

I have 3 laser levels, and I thought for sure this would work with at least one of them, but apparently not. No matter what mode I put any of them in, this showed me nothing.However, after spending about an hour doing more research, I finally figured out that none of my laser levels work with this.Sigh.It's clearly my fault, as I obviously made a mistake. So I can't fault the product.The one bit of advice that I can give you is make sure your laser does "pulse mode", which it seems none of mine do. This seems to be a decent little device, but make sure it'll work with your unit prior to purchase.

I used this with a green firecore laser for site leveling on a carport project.It was easy to use and saved me a lot of time.Very happy with it.

I am in the process of getting the permits to build a house on a lot purchased. I have a pulse laser and will be using it to assist first off with the post and beam foundation so I took my laser outside with this laser detector to see if this will work for the length and width of the foundation area I'll be working and it did exactly what I needed. That's all I can ask at this point. Getting the foundation points lined up perfectly is important - it's literally the foundaton of my house! I will keep the laser and this detector together so that when I'm ready to move forward (with permits in hand), I'll have my tools near at hand.

This last weekend, we dug out the gravel floor of our barn in preparation for having cement poured. This is super useful to have to survey the depth of the floor.You use this with a rotating laser head and attach it to a survey pole. It indicates when you are above/below or on the mark. With one person operating the tractor and one person manning the survey pole, its pretty easy to make a level grade.It takes 2 aaa batteries and can be mounted to any 'pole'. I like using a survey pole because you get a good sense of just how far high/low a spot is.This is a nice unit and small enough to easily pack to a job site or use around the house/barn/property/where ever.
