Great carrier
Fits perfectly on my 2010 Cadillac Escalade. We just used it on a 2000 mile round trip from Virginia to Florida and back.We hit rain on both trips, with no moisture inside the bag.It is easy to setup and it comes all the straps you need. I did not use the door straps. I did use the straps on the bag and connected them to my rook rack basket. It’s HUGE and held my family of four plus grandma’s stuff with a tiny bit of room to spare.I highly recommend this carrier!

Sturdy and functional!! Recommend!!
Purchased this for my daughter and son in law for traveling home with their son and dogs. I was a little afraid of packing items on top of a vehicle BUT this made it easy and worked well!! Would recommend a skid proof pad for underneath but has held up remarkably well for several trips over 1000 miles both ways

What I wish I knew
We moved across the country in a 2000 mile move on a Ford Focus hatchback without a roof rack. We wouldn't have been able to make our move without it. I read a ton of reviews, and these are what I wish I knew:- The bag really stays in place. The first day I was nervous driving that it would become loose, etc., and that wasn't an issue.- The straps are incredibly difficult to use. We lost one latch on the wrap-around strap on day two and went without it. It makes getting into the car difficult. Also, it really didn't work well with my foam insulation around the doors, so it did create a small gap in the front passenger and driver side, leaving a little rain, air and wind in. It sounded like we were in an airplane. There just was not enough give on the front two straps.- The directions for install are worthless. The video is worthless. But we still figured it out?- It holds so much. Truly it is ginormous. I did not think we would fill the bag, but I was wrong. We tested what we were putting in it at our place uninstalled and this was a huge help for us and saved us a ton of time on the big day.- I didn't have the horrible gas mileage that others mentioned. It went down 3 mpg than usual and we had a packed car.- Whatever you put up there, don't plan on getting it out easily. We had our camping gear and it sucked undoing it every day for a multi-day road trip.- It is water-resistant but not waterproof. But honestly? That didn't really matter for us. We put everything into containers so it was already safe from water.- It gets buggy, to be expected.- It did make small scratches on the roof of my car because I neglected to buy the slip mat.

Functional, waterproof and secure if installed properly.
Installation went off without a hitch, and the quality is excellent. I went on a 9+ hour drive during early spring, encountered moderate rate driving at 70mph. The bag didn't shift one inch, and everything inside stayed dry, including clothing in a cloth bag.The bag didn't make any noise at all, but the straps do flop around if you don't secure them properly. I did stop once to adjust the straps. One thing of note. Do NOT tuck the straps into your cabin, as they will act as leads and bring water in. Tuck them either under the bag or under the flaps and secure with the velcro strips. It was overall a very positive experience for what it is. Would 100% buy again!

Worked surprisingly well
Bought this for a move from Los Angeles to Seattle. Was sturdy, and secure, and never any concern about it falling off. Keep in mind, if have a suv with horizontal cross bars. Your mileage may vary (no pun intended) if you have a sedan or coupe and are latching these to the doors. Also recommend buying maybe some strong tape for the straps. Should be okay, but the rear ones did flap in wind a little bit which made me a teeny bit nervous, but overall, excellent product.

Leaks rainwater at 85mph.
Currently using this as of right now while on a trip. Driving from Illinois to the panhandle of Florida and got caught in light rain for a few hours. I just knew the whole time this thing would leak.Sure enough, got to the hotel only to find out clothes were wet. Oh boy. They weren't soaked, but were wet. Ofcourse, water beating off this thing at 85mph, what more could you expect? The obvious entry point was the zipper. I would recommend putting suitcases in large trashbags. For some reason, what I would think is the "rear" of this bag, contains a stitched seam - meaning no zipper here. I think to help with water getting it, I would have put the "seam" at the front so rain water wouldn't be beating against a zipper. FYI - throw in some zip ties & a pair of cutters too. I've found it easiest to zip tie up the slack. However, if you plan to open the thing up, you'll likely need to cut the zip ties so a pair of cutters and extra ties have been helpful for us.

Caused thousands of dollars in damages to my vehicle
Horrendous. Once we figured out how to secure this bag to our car, the problems immediately started. This is NOT waterproof! If you take nothing else from my review, please understand that! We had to drive through a couple of hours of on and off rain, and our items inside the bag were damp when we stopped to check on them. We ensured everything was tightly closed and secure, so that’s not the reason the items got wet. What’s worse is that this product allowed small amounts of rain INTO the car! There are stains on the inside part of the roof of my car now, as well as scratches on the doors. This caused thousands of dollars in damages. I was counting on this thing (based on its good reviews) to keep my musical instruments secure on a 1,500+ mile road trip. Had I not thoroughly wrapped and packed my instruments before placing them in this cargo bag, they would’ve been ruined, too. It’s simply not worth the risk. I would advise people to seek a much better alternative to protect your belongings.
