Good as OEM
After having a very lose connection on a friend's laptop I installed this and it is the best fit ever. It fits nice and tight and better than the original OEM charging port. The power adapter/charger doesn't wiggle around and lose the connection all the time. Highly recommend this item and its very reasonably priced.

PowerPort worked as expected.
Following a YouTube video for how to replace the Dell PowerPort, I successfully replaced the part. After doing so, the Power Adapter plug fit snugly into the PowerPort.

Saved me from Dell's "your adapter isn't recognized" nightmares...
My four-year-old Dell Inspiron laptop would only charge sporadically, and I was in fear of losing battery power altogether. The most common Google solutions to "Dell computer doesn't recognize adapter" were 1) get a new adapter (in my case, replacing a Dell one with another Dell one) and 2) replace the battery. I did both without solving the problem. But this DC adapter, which is no more difficult to install than a battery (you'll find YouTube how-to videos for both) completely solved my problem at very little cost. I wish I'd tried it first! The jack has three little pins that slightly bend inward when the adapter makes contact with them. Too bad Dell can't figure out how to give a more useful warning when your laptop won't charge.
