A Day of Fallen Night (The Roots of Chaos)

“A Day of Fallen Night” left me on an emotional rollercoaster. Set before the events of “The Priory of the Orange Tree”, I initially thought nothing could ever compare to that book, but this one proved that the author has the ability to create a perfect story every time. And now that I’ve read this, I’m so excited for the next book in this world. The story is told from four different perspectives, which might seem like a lot, but each POV felt absolutely perfect to me.The world-building was rich, descriptive, and incredibly detailed, drawing me into the story completely. The characters were well-developed, each with their own flaws, which made them feel even more real. From the very start, the plot had me hooked, and the action-packed events had me gripping the book tightly, unable to stop reading. I was constantly on edge, worried for the characters, and invested in their journey.The way everything came full circle by the end left me speechless.This book made me cry for all the losses the characters endured, but also laugh with them in their happiest moments. I’m still reeling from the emotional impact this book had on me, and no words could truly capture how amazing and beautiful the entire experience was. Despite its length, it was absolutely worth every page. It left me feeling empowered as a woman, and the addition of dragons was just the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fantasy read filled with complex characters, romance, and thrilling action scenes.

Good quality hardcover with decent binding. Book came unprotected and the first time it arrived damaged, but replacement was good.Since the spine is fat (nearly 900 pages), HB is an option worth considering.

If you are someone who really likes fantasy, this book is heaven... This is the kind of book that you want to finish as soon as possible because of how good it is and is impossible for you to put down, and at the same time, do not want to read it fast because it will end soon...
