Small, light, works great to get you just that much closer to your subject matter.
This little 1.4 teleconverter works with my Canon EFS lenses. YAY!! This really let me reach out and capture some nice pics on a recent excursion with my wife. We both have identical cameras and lenses, and this converter made a definite difference while trying to get a little bit closer shots of the wildlife. The max -F stop opening was only F8, but I already new that upon purchasing.Great product. especially if you are looking for a teleconverter for the canon EFS lenses.I highly recommend this one.

Didn't work with Canon 7D Mark II + EFS 18-200mm zoom
I tried this tele-converter with my Canon 7D mark II body and the zoom Canon EFS 18-200. After taking 3 photos, the fourth crashed the camera. It showed ERR on the LCD. I had to remove the battery to recover. I tried a second time with the same result. I had to return it. I hope Kenko can fix this problem because the prices of the Canon tele-converter are ridiculously expensive.

Save your money
I needed to increase the telephoto reach of my Canon EF-ES 55-250 mm lens to photograph a bald eagle nest at 1/2 mile. I compared photos taken with the Kenko 1.4X extender and without the extender. I cropped the photos taken with the Canon lens without the extender so the two photos were comparable. I both images at 1/1250, f/10 using an ISO of 400 with a Canon SL 1 camera. The two photos of a cupola were similar, although the one on the right was noticeably sharper (the opinion of two viewers looking at images on high resolution monitor). The sharpest image was using just the Canon 55-255 mm lens without an extender. The extender degraded the quality of the image such that merely cropping the unextended image was better. The extender functioned well using the autofocus and the build quality was good, but why pay $160 for hardware that reduces quality of images that can be produced by the Canon lens with cropping. Save your money.

Amazing for moving from APS-C to full frame
This first image is from my 6th floor apartment, through a dirty window, with a screen on it. Both images were taken with a Canon 6D MK II, the KENKO 1.4, and the Canon EF-s 55-250mm. Yes, EF-s. With the adapter having mounts for both EF and EF-s you can use both with no issues. At least I haven't had any yet. Before you spout off about damaging the mirror, this is an adapter. You are not connecting an EF-s lens directly to the camera body. It sits between the body and and the lens. There is no danger of your EF-s lens, when using this adapter, harming your mirror on your camera. That is the reason I purchased this specific adapter, it is the ONLY x1.4 teleconverter that has the mounts for both EF and EF-s. This gives you a very budget friendly way to move from APS-C camera's (Like the Canon Rebel, Kiss, or XTi) to a full frame. I cannot say enough good things about this product.

To date I am satisfied.
So far the Kenko AF 1.4 fits my EF and EF-S Canon (55-250 mm) lens as well as my Sigma 70-300 mm. The Auto focus work fine and there is no distortion. All my testing has been in my back yard, birds and other wildlife. A more dynamic test will come as soon as the weather breaks and I can get out in the field. To date I am satisfied.
