Great pan and top!
I bought the Farberware 1 quart sauce pan with top about two months ago, primarily for my husband who likes to cook single servings of grits almost daily, after his years-old little pot lost its handle and was rendered useless. I should add that he is as like as not to boil grits over or burn the bottom of the pan, which can ruin cookware. Unfortunately, he's not very good at cleanup so that duty falls on me, so I wanted a good quality stainless pot. Despite the 4+ rating for this pan, I was a bit concerned about the quality of the steel after reading some of the reviews, especially those that included photos of peeling metal. Well, the negative reviews must apply to a different product or be written by competitors because--as my photos make clear--this little sauce pan is excellent in every way! It's very sturdy, conducts heat evenly, looks good, and cleans up like new. It's much superior to the small pan it replaced and well worth the price. I highly recommend it!November 2021 Update: I'm so please with my little one quart Faberware pot that I decided to update my initial review. My husband and I use this little pot every day--multiple times most days--and it's holding up very well. I eat lots of cooked greens for health and regularity, and because microwaving kills the good stuff in them, I whip out this little pot for reheating leftovers. However, all the negative reviews posted since last year are alarming. I did the magnet test for nickel. It passed. It's a hefty lil pot with no black spots or stains. It's easy to clean, and there's no weird smell, no peeling. It's definitely a little worn now, but it's really been put to work! Maybe there are Faberware knock-offs out there, but the one I purchased here is fine. I've added 4 photos taken today, including 2 of my magnet test. I still recommend it!

Excellent pot
I have been a fan of these pots for decades and they still don't disappoint. They still appear to be made very well. The cover fits snugly. They have a heft to them, so they don't feel cheap. I think that it's an excellent small pot/saucepan. They also have a nice polished finish.

Solid performance with classic Faberware looks
This little saucepan was bought to replace my original 1977 Faberware aluminum clad pan. Gleaming stainless steel, a little wider and shorter than my original but maintains the classic Faberware look. Took it for a test run, heats up quickly, and washes up easily. SO…I will be replacing my worn old pans from the open stock….Thank you Faberware!

Nice pot!
This pot was exactly what I was looking for. The pot itself is sturdy and doesn't feel flimsy. I think the only thing I'm not crazy about is the handle. The curve and how high it sits feels strange when you're holding it. But since it's on the smaller side and doesn't get too heavy with liquid in it, it's fine. It's just something to get used to. But besides that, it's a nice little pot to boil an egg or have sauce in.

Great little saucepan
This is a great little sized saucepan. I use mostly for boiling a few eggs, making oatmeal...2 servings. Cooking for two makes it easy to prepare just a few vegetables at a time. It has a lot of uses in our house. It looks nice on our stove. The quality is great for the price. I haven't had any problem with food sticking or burning, but I don't use high heat when cooking. Great purchase.

Excellent
Perfect little pot with lid, exactly as described, even heat distribution, excellent value for the money, easy to use, I bought it because my pot set did not come with a small one to boil water for a cup of tea, or to boil eggs, it's a perfect size. I would highly recommend

A 50 year fav!
I got this same set of the classic Farberware stainless steel pan set when I got married almost 50 years ago. I've bought a few other sets over the years. All much more expensive than than my Farberware stainless steel set but these are still my most often used pans. I recently burned food so badly in the 1 qt size that the pan is toast. (You'd think after 50 years I wouldn't burn a pan so badly, but nope!) Imagine my surprise when I looked on amazon and found I could still buy that exact pan. I compared it to my original one and can see no difference. The lid is even exactly the same. They're not stick free but overall they clean easily. I've put them in the dishwasher all these years and except for the handles looking a little dull, they're still good as new. Stainless steel is very healthy for cooking in too which I like.
