Exceeds expectations!
Who would have thought a tent footprint would actually impress me?When received, the tarp was rolled up in a cinch sack. At first, I thought the wrong size must have been sent! I ordered the XXL and yet the cinch sack was about the size of a beer can. Yet when I pulled it out and spread it into the wind, I'm looking at a 6' x 7' tarp. Is this witchcraft? But surely it's not easy to get it back into that sack? Wrong! I folded and rolled it into a compact roll in under a minute, and not only did it fit in the cinch sack with ease, I felt like the sack was actually on the big side, so if you're a real miser for space you could compress this to a ludicrous degree. So it's compact and easy to handle, but can you expect performance from paper thin plastic? It turns out that yes, yes you can. A quick "field test" with a water hose proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that this thing is an effective barrier against water, no less so than a heavy thick tarp like you buy at the hardware store. I have no reason to doubt that this would actually provide shelter if called upon to do that in an emergency. All of which is more value than I needed, because I only bought this because it comes in sizes that fit compact backpacking tents nicely while most other footprints on the market are way too big, nevermind costing double or triple what this does. This costs about what a cheapo blue tarp does while performing just as well and weighing about as much as your shirt. That only leaves durability. If you haven't heard back from me, assume this is still in service, happily stuffed in my pack. I'll update if this bites the dust in unwarranted fashion. It does not give the impression of being shoddy or weak so I have high hopes for many trips with this.On a final note, the amazon listing gives a pretty spectacularly long shipping time, well over a month when I ordered. The product ships international from China but arrived at my doorstep only 8 business days/11 real days after placing my order.

Second one I purchased
I bought one of these a few years ago to use in an SUV full of suitcases as a way to cover up what was in the back when we were on a 3-week trip in Europe. It worked perfectly, and we also pulled it out to use as a tarp to sit and eat lunch on, or to cover things we wanted to keep dry. Its nice and lite, but seems durable. Unfortunately, I misplaced mine some time in the last year, so I gave up and ordered a new one. Its really well made, and light enough to toss into your day bag, or to throw in a glove box.

It was smaller than i imagined
I bought it to protect my tent from rain since I had a leak and was too lazy to just seal the seams (I have since then and problem is solved) but I also bought this to prevent having to pack a wet tent up as I camp and hike for multiple days and it ALWAYS rains. I thought I would set it up over the tent, but the size I got was only good for being a footprint. i did lay it over my tent anyway since it did rain, and it kept the water out just fine, but i somehow had it in my head this would work as a tent tarp... since it says tent tarp on the packaging... i guess they meant oompa-loompa size tents. haha. Anyway, it was my fault in not looking at measurements and thinking it through. it is wonderful for a footprint however.

The best tarp I’ve found so far.
Don’t let the low price turn you away. I bought this ground sheet to cut into a smaller one for my Tarptent Moment DW. I got to say that I am very impressed with the quality and the light weight 20D material. It is in fact rip stop nylon and it will not tear very easily. It is also very waterproof. I’m happy with this purchase, had I known earlier about these groundsheets/tarps I would’ve bought these for other tents I’ve had in the past.

Great for backcountry camping!
This was a great substitute for the Big Agnes footprint which was on back order. From the 5 times I’ve used it, this footprint has been rather durable. I worry about it in sharp rocks so use care like you would setting up any other campsite. I appreciate the lightweight as I use it for backpacking and need to carry low weight items. Definitely worth a try for your next camping trip.

Too many bad experiences with stuff from China
First, apologies to staff at Geertop US. I was angry that it was not clear that product was coming from Hong Kong. Too many bad experiences with stuff from China. They answered my e-mails same day and are very courteous.Kudos...ordered late 12-3-17 received in Nevada,12-7-17. Looks great and just what I expected. Ultralight so it is thin not like a regular ground tarp; but just what I need. Packs in a 6"x4" stuff sack of very good quality.Regrets: If they ever make 12' to 16' square, I'll buy two.

Good for inside tent maybe
Good for inside tent maybe. We had it on the outside in NY seem to trap the cold wet rain in the tent bottom

super light + super strong
Wow, this footprint is amazingly strong, and so light. The orange border looks beautiful and is firmly stitched. Corners are nicely reinforced with separate layer of orange material. Grommets are strong. I will also use it as "shade roof" for my hammock. It packs up into this tiny little pouch and weighs practically nothing. Super Product!!!!! Although not cheap, I am happy I purchased this little gem, but would have liked to receive four stakes included.
