Standard LED lights, SEP to boot
I bought these specifically for their SEP wiring because when converting fluorescent fixtures and removing ballasts, it is just silly to run extra wires to the tombstones on the other end. Simplicity is key.All LED bulbs work fine. Though one came with the end of the tube cracked, it seems like damage from rough handling during shipping.Suggestion to manufacturer: Pack these better, please. Shipping can be rough, packages fall. You can avoid the extra cost of returns/exchanges if you pack these better. 1/2" layer of plastic foam does not seem sufficient. The color of the light produced is as described, I bought the 5000K 4ft tubes for my shop and am satisfied with the results and the also amount of light produced (more than the original 40W fluorescent).I will be converting also my garage lighting so I will buy more of these. One hiccup with the order (and hence 1 star deducted) was with Amazon's shipping. They had 1 box available in a warehouse across town so Amazon order page showed next day delivery. That was perfect because I needed to convert the shop lights over the weekend for the upcoming work the next week. And this is also why I chose Amazon's slightly more expensive LED lights over Home Depot's lights because Amazon had faster shipping and I would not have to wait 5 days for the HD package. Little did I know I was wrong in my anticipation of speedy delivery. Several days went by and no package. The tracking information shows that it was sent out of state, likely by mistake by a worker who threw the box onto the wrong truck. A few more days have passed and my package was still not on its way back to my state. It got somehow "stuck" out of state. So I ordered a replacement with 2 day shipping. The package was coming from out of state. Maybe the same one where my original package ended up? And while ordering the replacement, Amazon asked that I send the previous item back if it ever arrives. I agreed to that and their webpage asked how I would like to send it back. I chose UPS pickup. And to my surprise, UPS knocked on my door the next morning. I quickly explained the Amazon mishandling of the pickup to the driver who laughed, said it was alright and drove off. Dear Amazon, this should be fixed in the scheduling software. All-in-all, I could have bought the LEDs from HD and have them here before the Amazon LEDs. But we cannot predict the future and human factor so we just need to learn from that. Dear Amazon, take a hint, find out who screwed up the original shipment and re-train that employee. Or give them a drug test.

Easy shop light upgrade
I have a large room in my house with four 48" recessed T12 shop light fixtures. Two of the ballasts were toast, and another one was starting to go out. I decided to upgrade to LED shop lights rather than go through all the trouble of changing out the fixtures and redoing the sheet rock. It was easier than I expected. Just had to clip the wires and remove the ballast, then direct-wire one new LED-compatible tombstone per bulb, daisy-chain them together, and leave the old tombstones up on the other side to hold the bulb. The first one took about 20 mins because I kept referring back to the YouTube video to make sure I was doing it right, after that each light took about 5 minutes. These T8 LEDs are brighter than my old T12 fluorescent bulbs. These LED bulbs are slightly longer (about 1/8 inch or 3 mm) than the T12 fluorescent bulbs I had before, but they still fit in the fixture with no modification. Might be a tight squeeze if your fixture is already a little short for the fluorescent bulbs.

FIRE HAZARD - DO NOT PURCHASE THESE BULBS
WARNING - Be sure to read the reviews of this product from customers who have experienced FIRESAfter 8 weeks of being installed, one of the bulbs CAUGHT ON FIRE!It was installed in our garage. I went to the garage and found it filled with smoke. As you can see from the photo attached, the bulb had melted and caught on fire, melting the end of the bulb and destroying the socket it was installed in. I've never had any issue with other bulbs or with this brand of lamp (I've got 8 of them installed!)I truly hope that other people read these reviews and don't buy these bulbs!I plan on reporting this to Amazon and whatever government agency I can get to hear us.

Brighter light for less power usage
These T8 size LED bulbs (1 inch diameter) are brighter (whiter) than my older standard yellowish bulbs. I replaced all my floresent bulbs in the house (38) including basement, closets, store room, and work shop. Total cost was about $200 and they'll pay for themselves over the long haul in lower power usage.
