Homedics Ozone Clean 3-in-1 Multipurpose Cleaner – Chemical-Free Surface Disinfectant Spray, Super Strong Sanitizer and Deodorizer for Home Counters, Appliances and Toys, Reusable Bottle, Black

Ok I literally just got this and my daughter and I used it on the bathroom countertop. The countertops are white granite or something so we couldn’t really tell if it did anything, I told her I was skeptical this was just clever marketing. So we took the ozone to my most feared and biggest nemesis…the forest green laminate kitchen countertops. You cannot even put your hand down on those countertops without leaving visible fingerprints. Needless to say I have tried everything to clean them but everything left streaks except Windex which I was purchasing by the boatload. Anyway, this ozone stuff freaking works. I swear to god they are spotless. I am dumbfounded.

The device seems to work as advertised, infusing ozone into the water that I can actually smell in the bottle right after generation. There is one critical flaw though that has caused both the original unit and the replacement one to become unusable after only a week of use, and that's the spray trigger mechanism. Even disposable spray bottles last at least several months. Don't know why Homedics would skimp on such a basic part on such an expensive "spray bottle". I have reached out to support and will update my review if they have corrected this flaw, but I doubt that will be the case.UPDATE: It took Homedics exactly two weeks to respond to my issue where they asked for all sorts of documentation including invoice, S/N, and pics of the product. I responded the same day, and did not receive another reply for exactly 2 more weeks where they requested for the product to be returned for a replacement. I had asked in my original request if the design flaw had been addressed and an upgraded sprayer was available, but this was ignored. I can't help but think that the delays from Homedics were intentional to run out the opportunity to return the item to Amazon. Fortunately I had already started the Amazon return process and just returned to Amazon instead of returning to Homedics for a 3rd flawed sprayer that I would have been stuck with.

For starters, im in the field of commercial disinfecting/cleaning. I'm sure you remember going to your local big box store to purchase disinfecting wipes or bleach, just to realize there weren't any in stock during the Pandemic. With the Pandemic, we've learned that our supply chain is broken and there's no telling when something you need will be in stock. Enter HoMedics Ozone Clean! Not having to depend on bleach, quat, or any other heavy duty disinfecting chemical to get the job done is a game changer! The days are gone where I have to carry so many different cleaners and chemicals to attack the same goal. This sprayer is so good that I use it through out my house daily, and in my work trucks to clean and sanitize daily. The best part about Ozone Clean: with good quality tap water, all you do is spray and let evaporate! No mess or streaks left behind! A little bit of advice on using the sprayer: use warm water if possible. Also, I don't know what all the complaints are about with the trigger. I'm 6'3" and 270 lbs and have countless hours on my original sprayer. Have yet to have any issues with the sprayer or anything else. Thanks HoMedics for an awesome cleaning and sanitizing tool!

Update (Dec 2021): The replacement sprayer has been MUCH more robust. I updated my review to 4 Stars to reflect that.I had the device for less than a week before the spray nozzle broke. Homedics told me that I have to return it to Amazon, because their warranty doesn’t take effect until after Amazon’s return period is up.Other than that, the ozonated water it produces worked shockingly well as a cleaner and deodorizer. It smells slightly of chlorine but that dissipates quickly. If they only spent more that 2 cents on the cheap sprayer nozzle, I’d have given it higher marks.If the replacement from Amazon has a busted nozzle, I’ll probably keep using it with a refillable sprayer from the dollar store.

For the price, this is a spiffy little unit. I have bigger ones that are a hassle to get out and set up so I needed something in the kitchen for rapid use. I have run 50 cycles with this and used the water for dental appliances to kitchen sponges and pet odor. When the sponge gets stinky, I take the top off and pour all four ounces into the sponge and it is spring fresh again. Same with pet accidents. I use a Bissel carpet cleaner and when done with first run, pour all four ounces of ozone on the spot, wait a minute and vacuum it up. Works great on wiping down counters and sinks after chicken prep or such. Aqueous Ozone is a wonderful sanitizer and this little unit has not disappointed.It works best with tap water. Distilled or RO water lacks minerals and this conductivity. Our water is 450 PPM hardness so I use about 1/4 tap and the rest RO.

I have had to replace this product 3 times because it wouldn't even start the ozone process. Each one did the same exact thing. Some of them seemed to have already been used and then recycled on to me. After the last replacement we received, they no longer offer the replacement option now. Oh, I just noticed that i originally bought it for $75, and now it is listed at $100. So now Amazon wants me to pay more if I want this ozone sprayer. Gee whiz! What a coincidence. After I read through the review, plus my personal experience, I will never use this product or company again.

I read all the reviews here about how the nozzle breaks so easy. I thought I will give it a try anyway. After the nozzle broke after the 3rd use, I returned it and I was sent a new one. I believe the reason the nozzle is breaking so easily is because ozone breaks down plastic over time when plastic sets in ozone water. . So the nozzle being plastic won’t last long. That said, I love using ozone water to clean my vegetables and fruit. Grapes, lettuce and strawberries taste amazing when soaked or sprayed with ozone water. It is great in so many uses. I recommend getting a cheap plastic 4 or 5 oz bottle and pour the ozone water into it and saving the original nozzle from breaking. Easier to replace a cheap plastic spray bottle than the original sprayer.
