Honda Border/edger Kit For Fg110 Tiller

This won’t replace the high speed edgers. But it does cut the grooves in the soil so my 20 volt edger can do its job. It was frustrating to edge my yard and every time I hit some soil the edger would stop. But I already had 6 20 volt Dewalt batteries from other purchases so I wanted to try their cordless edger. It works fine but has very little power. Now with the Honda cutting new grooves every year the little cheap edger does a great job making the sidewalks and drive look nice. Get it. It works great for its intended purpose.

Simple instructions. Very easy to install. Makes your Honda cultivator more versatile. It does a much quicker job on overgrown sidewalks than a shovel or normal edger.

I bought this recently, and it works well as long as you pull it backwards rather than push forward. Pushing forward is a disaster as R. Knowlton explained. The installation instructions that came with the attachment made no sense. First it says no tools are required. Next paragraph is about how to remove the cover using an allen wrench. This is not necessary. All one has to too is pull the clip out, remove the existing tine(s) and install the wheel and tines as instructed.

Not a very clean edger, it tore up sections of grass and works more like a tiller(how odd) but my use is also on sandy soil. Once initially used it does create a nice ditch that makes trimmer edging much nicer.

Did the job that was expected and did it well.It would have cost $200+ had I hired it done.So in my book, it paid for itself in one use.

I've owned a Honda FG110 tiller for years and love it. I needed an edger and didn't want to add another piece of machinery to my collection, so I thought the edger attachment would solve that problem. Honda engineers are usually the best in the world, but they missed a major point on this attachment- blade speed. A regular edger blade spins at at least 1000 rpm, while the blade speed for a Honda tiller is no more than 300 rpm. So, instead of the blade skimming the edge of the concrete, it tries to "walk up" on the concrete. It also doesn't make a clean cut. It cuts a nice little trench, but there's still grass sticking out that I have to clean up with my weedeater. Spend your money elsewhere.

Honestly if I could have given this product a 0 I would have. It does not make a nice clean edge it just rips up your grass. We went over the edging 4 times and it still did not look nice. What a waste of $50. Wouldn't ever recommend to anyone!

After using a little Mantis tiller for years, I finally got frustrated with how hard it was to start and keep running. I bought the Honda FG100 tiller. The Edger kit was my first add-on. This worked better than I had hoped. I left the transport wheels on the back of the tiller. That helped to stabilize it for me. I am most happy this purchase.
