the graphic cryptic instructions were useless but once you code it, it is EXCELLENT
at first i thought the useless instruction renders the safe completely redundant!! but after calling Yale, they explained it all in half a min. SO EASY .. now we can operate with the key, fingerprint or digital keypad, BRILL

Let everyone know you’re installing a safe!
Product seems good, shame it comes in a box showing exactly what’s inside, then sits on your doorstep for hours advertising the fact you have stuff worth nicking. Advise people thinking about that before ordering

If only the instructions were better
'Yale', it says in the name: "That's a name I recognise", I thought. One problem with getting older is that names you remember can be from companies that got bought out twenty years ago, and now exist only as a name, selling someone else's products, with instructions in a dozen languages, that only make sense to the people who wrote them. After a lot of swearing and puzzling, browsing the internet for any hint of actual setup instructions turned up nothing useful, even on the remains of the 'Yale' website product support. Eventually, I figured out how to program the fingerprint lock, and the good news is that it's now working. On page two of the instructions, it shows a pair of fingers pressing two buttons at once, which turns out to be what you need to do to register a new fingerprint:Unlock the safe with the keyPress and hold the 'Tick' button in the lower left of the keypadPress the '5' in the middle, and the display should change to prompt you for three prints of the same finger. If only they could have shown that on page one, where you first need to know it, it would have saved me a lot of time and trouble, and this review would have been much better!Just remember to lock the safe with the key before you try to unlock it with the fingerprint reader, or it gets upset.
