The media could not be loaded. I have a huge collection of vintage C9 outdoor Christmas strings and bulbs, some from the 1940s, that I like to use every year. I wanted an easy way to run them at reduced power to help prolong bulb life, and this is exactly what I needed. A typical vintage C9 bulb uses 10 watts, so this dimmer will safely run 100 bulbs. I purchased three of them to control various sections of my outdoor lighting setup this year and they worked perfectly. I selected 90 percent, which dropped bulb brightness a tiny bit but should extend bulb life considerably. I only had a few burnouts out of several hundred bulbs used. You can even go to 80 percent for greater life extension.The receivers are extremely sensitive and all remotes work all receivers. I was playing around with one unit inside the house and unbeknownst to me the lights out front were being controlled as well.As expected, the unit gets quite warm when dimming lamps near the 1,000 watt capacity. Since I had the units tucked away in bushes and foliage and not inside the house, I was not worried about that.

I am using it with a photocell, which causes my outdoor lights to come on at dusk. Compared to another purchased dimmer, I like that this product remembers the on/off setting. With the other dimmer, I have to turn it on every night with the remote. Live and learn. The seller was helpful in confirming this feature before my purchase, and sure enough, it works as they said it would.

Light dimmer gave good control of light output without flairs or variations from pre-set intensity for incandescent lamps. Did not use it for LEDs yet.

My first one worked one week and then died. I received a new one so good for manufacture and their support. Unfortunately it works for couple weeks and then remote won't control the unit. I've done the reset on the directions several times and it starts working again. Then it just disconnects and now won't reset? No clue what technical malfunction is going on. I had one at our house in Tampa and it did the same thing. The second one lasted 2 years and worked flawlessly. Very frustrating and beyond the return date since I bought it in November 24.

I had originally bought a 50 watt outdoor work light to eliminate after dark grilling or other activities on my deck. This light turned out to be too bright, so I did a search on all weather dimmer switches which turned up this Aubric device. It not only allows me to set the illumination level but it is controlled by an RF remote that has on/off but preset and variable dimmer control. Perfect! Now, if I want to see what is going on outside, I can do so from the comfort of my living room couch. Unfortunately, within the first few minutes of use, the unit stopped responding to the remote. I immediately sent an email to Aubric describing the problem and got an immediate reply suggesting a method to re-pair the remote, when that did not work, Aubric offered to arrange for a replacement to be sent which has arrived and works perfectly. There is no human endeavor that has a 0% error rate. Sometimes things do not work or people make mistakes. It is not the mistakes that are made but how they are handled. In this case, my correspondence was with a single individual who bent over backwards to insure that I had a working product and was happy with the customer service that was provided. I love the product and the response to the item that did not work was first rate. I recommend this vendor without hesitation.

This unit is sturdy, has great features (some of which I will never use unless I am trying to induce a seizure) and can power quite a lot of lights. I originally bought the "Outdoor Dimmer Outdoor Smart Plug, Led Dimmer for String Lights, Smart Plug-in Light Dimmer Compatible with Alexa, Google Home, IP44 Waterproof, Wireless Remote Control", which couldn't power many lights at all and would just flash on and off rather than dim sometimes, and it was kinda flimsy (although it did have a cool app, which I then used to repurpose for running xmas lights on a schedule). if you are just looking to have a dimmer with remote for a product that seems well constructed (solid), this is your dimmer. If you need an app and want janky features, get the other one.

It does everything that I need. I'm using it to control an IR heater under a cover outdoors. 800w heater variable from 0 to 100%, and timer from 5 to 60 minutes. Now if I can figure out how to have two independent ones in the same area I'll really be happy.

Tested unit upon receipt, at full power via remote (and default upon first startup) the output is only ~90V DC rather than the stated 110V. As the remote is used to adjust brightness the voltage does appropriately decrease, but be warned you may never be able to receive true, full brightness from your lights with this device since the output is only ~80% of the claimed value.
