Ameritex Waterproof Dog Bed Cover Pet Blanket for Furniture Bed Couch Sofa Reversible

We got this blanket so that our new pup could sleep in our bed with us. It was this or a mattress protector, and I already have a mattress protector (it just isn’t waterproof). So we tried this, and I’m SO glad we did! It’s been a lifesaver (or, a BED saver) while we work on house training. I’m going to get an extra one to use while this one is being washed, and one to put down in his pen too!The blanket is not at all noisy as some waterproof and water repellent blankets are. It matches our bed clothes. If Murph pees on it, it does not even seep into the blanket, let alone seep through. It literally sits on top as if the blanket had a protective oil film or something.I was concerned that washing it might make it less repellent but so far, it’s just as good after several washes!The blanket is super lightweight so it doesn’t make me too hot or feel like I have too many blankets over me. It’s definitely breathable and seems quite durable given how many times it’s been washed. It’s soft enough that our pup loves to sleep on it. It fits our king sized bed perfectly, but there are other options for size (which is great)!My ONLY complaint is that since the liquid doesn’t “seep in,” if our pup pees on it he sometimes walks in it or even - sigh - lays in it. That’s the downside. But in the end, it’s absolutely 100% worth it!

I like this cover overall. It seems well made, is thick enough to be protective of the couch from dog claws & is waterproof, or at least heavily water resistant.The colors are very pretty & match the images shown online. I appreciate it being reversible.My issue here is I measured my couch with the ottoman pushed up to it & wanted something that would cover the entire surface. I looked for a cover that had the measurements I needed in the colors I wanted. My couch is 82" x 57" & I specifically choose the 68"x82" because I knew I'd have extra material to tuck in that way at that back.I received this, placed it out on the couch only to find I didn't quite cover. Grabbed my tape measure & it is 78" long, not 82" & only 65" wide, not 68".My biggest issue is the length, all I need was the extra 4". Beware if you need exact measurements. I have a feeling the material is measured before sowing, once seams are tuck & secured you are losing 3-4 inches.This will get used but probably as a pet cover for our bed now & I'll have to purchase something different for our couch.Edit- i had given this 3 stars due to the measurement issue &v that still annoys me, but let me just say over the last week this thing has proved itself protection wise. A few nights ago my hubby spilled pasta sauce, tomato 🤦, on this cover & it literally wiped right off with a wet paper towel & a tiny bit of dish soap. Dried with no spot. Our dog sat over in a corner of the coach licking her feet for 5mins before anyone noticed, that's all it took for a puddle to form. I was going to pull the whole thing off a wash it, I admit to being a neat freak, but I spot cleaned it with some laundry spray & all better. Then this morning I spilled coffee on the thing...oops. Good thing no 1 was home to see because I don't make messes... Ever 😂. I grabbed a damp paper towel & it wiped right off, hadn't absorbed into the cover, just headed on top. Plus it dried so fast. I upped it to 4 stars because it does do what it claims.

Perfect for couch coverage! Not as heavy (or as expensive!) as a previous item purchased that is almost like a velour. (Mambe throw also purchased on Amazon)If the previous item gets wet it is SO heavy! And the purpose is to be a couch protector for our dogs. So needs to be washable. Well a dog got sick on the couch. Took the item off and rinsed outside then washing machine then dryer. It held so much water that the weight (it was large enough for a big couch) that the dryer belt broke. Dryer was only a few years old. Seriously it was heavy when wet. Purchased THIS item for the same large couch. Washed it upon arrival for a comparison to the other cover. This one was much lighter out of washer and easy to dry. Like the two tone option as well. Super happy with this purchase. Serves the purpose, looks ok and easy to wash and dry even in the largest size.

I'm so tired of buying stuff from here. NOT WATERPROOF. The first time my puppy peed on it, we wiped it up right away. We THEN wiped it with a WET WIPE a few timesChecked the other side... Wet, all the way thru the comforter.I should have read the reviews
