Good Desktop Helper!
So I needed an adapter to replace the individual readers and hub that I was using beforehand. Since I wanted to use this with a desktop, I needed the longest cable that I could find. Found this product and decided to use it.Since I use this mainly on a desktop, the display output or external power features were useless to me. However, the rest proved to be lifesavers for my work flow. Plugging in only this device would give me a USB 3.0 Card Reader, 2 USB 3.0 type A ports, 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, and an Audio out. This one device replaced the 3 other USB devices that I was using beforehand. So long as you have at least one Rear USB 3.1 Type-C Header on your motherboard, you should be fine.Tested it on both Linux and Windows. Both work out of the box. What surprised me the most was the audio output. My motherboard audio died, so this was a good stand in until I could get an DAC/AMP. Though, I really don't know if I should get one anyway. The AMP built-in is loud enough for my use case. Is it comparable to a good dedicated DAC/AMP? Not really, but I use linux, so I really don't have the best of luck when it comes to compatibility for audio amplifiers. If you have alright headphones and the audio died on your computer, this is a good replacement to have.Again, I cannot test extra power delivery or HDMI output as they are useless features for a desktop setup. Besides, I don't think its a good idea to feed additional power through the hub as it seems to work fine with my motherboard.Other than that, I would highly recommend for desktop use. The length is perfect for that. If you have a laptop, be sure that you would need the actual length of the cable. Otherwise you will have a long coil sitting on your desk.

It works, and has a long cable
I got this hub, with a long cable, to plug into the USB-C port in the back of my Windows desktop. I needed (1) a long cable and (2) at least one USB-C data connection. I looked at lots of hubs, and they're called USB-C hubs because they plug into a USB-C port. But for some unknown reason they provide zero USB-C data ports on the actual hub. This one has a USB-C data port, which I presently use for my iPhone. Also, apparently because I have a desktop, the USB-C data port also charges my iPhone. So there's no need for the external power supply if you have a desktop.I already had a USB-C to USB-C cable, but the connection with my iPhone wasn't consistent, so I ended up getting a fast 1 ft. cable from Cable Matters that works great. After I got the USB-C working, I then plugged in an SD card, and then plugged two devices into the USB-A ports. So 4 devices were connected at once, and all 4 devices worked fine. And I additionally tested all of the devices that I plug in occasionally on the USB-A ports, and they all worked. An excellent hub that freed up a USB port on the top front of my desktop, and gives me the additional connections that I need. Highly recommended!

very handy
As long as you plug in the power cable before any of the other accessories you're using, this seems to work great. If you don't, some of the ports won't work. I contacted Lention and they were very helpful, their customer service is outstanding. I currently have a usb mouse, usb keyboard, speakers and power cable running through this, which is very convenient! I had also hoped to run my monitor through the HDMI, but unfortunately it limits the refresh rate to 30 rather than 60, which makes the monitor pretty choppy, so I'm running the HDMI direct from my laptop instead. Not a big deal, and that limitation is specified by the seller, so that's on me.

Sketchy reliability.
I put my computer to sleep every night. When I wake it up, it takes 5-7 minutes before the computer recognizes the hub & activates my monitor, keyboard & mouse. Very frustrating. My old hub which is like 4 years old had an instantaneous response, but the cable was too short & this one has a nice long cord and makes for a less cluttered desk, except for starting up when I have to pull my laptop out and move the mouse & keyboard out of the way.***************Update: I have changed my review from 3 starts to 5. The seller contacted me, which was a surprise & recommended a fix. I followed their recommendation and the hub is now working flawlessly. Thank you to a responsive seller ***********

Helpful support
After purchasing this hub, I ran into an issue with audio volume controls (DDC) signals not working correctly. I contacted support and after some troubleshooting they determined a replacement was required. They shipped a new unit to me. The support was efficient and helpful.

Just two days using but terrific so far
I've gone through a dozen or more HDMI-ports for various USB-C and USB-A laptops. This is the first one that has power pass-through (USB-C, 60W), USB-A (3.0) for a wired keyboard and IR-mouse, AND HDMI port that works without a hitch (Mac OS, Chrome OS) while also allowing the hub to sit below and behind my laptop thanks to the long, thick connector cord. I tried connecting the hub via a USB-C-to-A adapter, but none of the ports work, as expected. But if you have a full-featured USB-C port on your machine, this hub makes using a laptop as a home work station much more feasible.I'll update my review if any of the ports stop working.

SD Card Slot Too Small - SDs Cannot be Inserted
Until yesterday, I have not had a need to use the SD card slot, but when I tried to insert the card yesterday it would not fit. The slot is too small for the card. Very disappointing. I purchased two of these almost two years ago and most slots work fine including the HDMI. My monitor works just fine as long as I don't jiggle the adapter too much when plugging in other items. Always comes back though. It does not heat up, but USB drives plugged into it get very hot. Don't touch the metal part when you remove the USB drive.
