Less Effort
This is the best kinetic puller I have used. It is better than the Frankfurt Armory puller (that I lost somewhere). The Hornady makes easy work of the 30 cal variety from Lake City with the crimp and goo sealing the cartridge. With the larger grip and longer swing radius I do not experience the fatigue that I did with the afore mentioned puller with tiny grip, that required at least twice as many whacks on a wood block. The Hornady has a handle and cartridge chamber made of a single piece of plastic that should be durable for a long time. The handle has a storage compartment which is very convenient for storing the holder bits. Highly recommended.

Just ordered a second one.
I have a Hornady cam puller for my Dillon 750 but it destroys bullets. I liked the Hornady hammer for fixing bullets that were set back without destroying the bullet. I used it infrequently, hitting a piece of 2”x 6” cedar . It broke not at the point of impact , but on the opposite side where the thread for the cap sits. An entire section of threaded plastic just came off when I unscrewed the cap after use. I bought another because it serves a purpose.

nice
I will be old and die before this one breaks. My old one was way cheaper quality and lasted for 25 years and hundreds of bullets hammered out. Nice that the collets store in the handle. I am impressed.

Hornady Impact Bullet Puller
Bought this puller as occasionally I have a mis load with an improperly seated primer and my press mounted puller will not allow the case to fit into the shell holder...so decided to purchase this impact puller to augment. The reviews for this device are a little scarry (hadn't read lest I might not have purchased). Regardless, the instructions for use of this device are not too great...looked on the internet to figure out how to configure the puller for use. To make a longer explanation short. the supplied collet holds the case rim and the primer is viewed from the exposed end of the puller. I pulled a .44 mag bullet with about 5 taps on a concrete floor over which I had placed a piece of carpet tile (has a rubber like backing). Regardless, this puller works very well once you figure out how to use. The breakage problems reported by others are likely from misunderstanding of how to configure. Would buy again.

The handle has better fit to my hand.
After my previous hammer failed I was hesitant to use the new one. I had about thirty rounds to separate. The first round was the hardest. I wasn't sure of me or the hammer. It took a while to separate the first round. A little persuasion helped and I got them apart. The hammer preformed well.
