Two Little Sisters
First off, I would like to say how much I am enjoying this series so far. After reading this third volume, I can conclude that the Citrus manga series is episodic with each book release. In other words, you can expect to be introduced to new characters and new obstacles in this forbidden romance. Nonetheless, all of this serves to progress the entertaining love story between Yuzu and Mei.In this book, we get to meet Matsuri! Mischievous and the youngest of the cast, Matsuri is Yuzu's childhood friend. Knowing each other for so long, she was pretty much a little sister to Yuzu. Although at this present time of setting, closeness and attachment becomes something different for her. Learning of Yuzu's relationship between Mei, Matsuri becomes a rival who will do whatever it takes to beat Mei and take Yuzu for her own. After reading this book, I find Matsuri to be a very interesting character. She stands to be more of a problem between Yuzu and Mei than Himeko. It has to be the fact that Matsuri is aggressive and daring that she sticks out as a memorable character from the manga. With that being said, she plays a good antagonist in this volume of Citrus and Yuzu and Mei moves closer. I would also like to note that Mei finally gets to play a bit of hero in this story! I mean she's the coolest and calmest, so even a bit of action makes her shine. With past reviews on the last two books, I'm going to say again that this story gets hot and steamy. And I commend Saburouta for doing so well in keeping hot and vanilla so close. Finally, I hope everyone enjoys(ed) those colored pages because I have! Let's meet again in the next volume and let Yuzu stay adorable :)

Do you really want to see what is inside?
The holiday exams are coming up and Mei is helping Yuzu study, but Yuzu is still thinking about their kiss. But when an old friend of Yuzu's shows up and causes trouble, can she protect Mei from her machinations and can she figure her out her own heart. This one brings many things out and to a head. As Yuzu tries to figure out Mei and her heart, she also has to deal with her friend who also has feelings for her. And at the end, Mei's confession will bring things to a forefront, making fans anxious for the final story. You will enjoy this if you are a fan of Girlfriends.

Citrus Vol. 3
Yuzu's first kiss with Mei. Earlier in the series than expected, which is actually good. I don't quite get this whole stepsibling love thing, but the series is fun to read. Matsuri adds an interesting conflict to the story. On to Vol. 4....

Yuzu and Mei's relationship is further defined, leaving you with a maddening urge to hibernate until Vol. 4 can be obtained!
A new character is introduced, and despite her best efforts to throw a wrench in the works, she instead serves to show just how well the two step-sisters actually know each other, even though they have been keeping each other seemingly ay arm's length. While we know that our main protagonist clearly obsesses over her new step-sister, we learn in Vol. 3 that the obsession isn't nearly as one-sided as we might have thought!

Not Great Literature but Consistent Quality
Citrus: Secret Love Affair With Sister, Vol. 3 introduces a new character, Matsuri. So, Yazu is in love with Mei, Himeko is also in love with Mei, and Mei's feelings are not known so far. Enter Matsuri, a childhood friend of Yazu, who figures out that Yazu is in love with Mei but is in love with Yazu herself. Matsuri will do anything she can to break up Yazu and Mei, so she can have Yazu for herself. If you can't believe an adult like me is reading this, you're not alone. No one has sex; this isn't hentai. It's a yuri romance manga, bordering on a dual-harem manga. What does that all mean? Well, that I have too much spare time, for one. The question is whether or not Citrus can remain fresh for five or 10 volumes. Romance storylines in sitcoms never have a huge shelf life, and when the comedy is lukewarm or situational, that shelf life decreases exponentially. So far, so good, though. I enjoyed this volume and thought it was funny. ****1/4
