Valentine Red Bleeding Heart (1 Root Per Package) Dicentra spectabilis

I'm very impressed with this purchase! When I received this, there was a notice with it to remove from the bag and plant immediately. Well, I put it back in the box and forgot it for at least two weeks. When I finally remembered about it, I put it in the ground and watered it thoroughly. The roots looked very healthy so I was optimistic. That was about two days ago! When I checked on it this morning, I was surprised to see many leaves coming up! The leaves definitely belong to this plant so I know it's a bleeding heart.I'm very impressed with the quality of the roots and the plant. I will update this with pictures once it blooms.

Planted them as directed. Never came up. The return window has closed before they had a chance to come up. Do not buy!

Grew beautifully. Ordered the root in March and it started growing and thriving almost immediately after we planted it. By May, we had already transplanted to the outdoor garden with the other Bleeding Heart plants. Very hardy.

Not sure how I feel about this purchase. There wasn’t real clear instructions on how to plant it or if some or all of it needs to be buried. Has been in the ground for about a month now and there is no signs of growth. Was super excited to add a red to our garden but now sad not seeing any signs of growth

bought 4 only one came up very disappointed

I love bleeding hearts & greenery sprouted up 5 days after planting the bulb. Today is day 7 & it’s grown tremendously since then. I can’t give 5 stars because no flowers are coming up yet. I’m looking forward to seeing all the heart shaped flowers.

I bought 2 of these and both are doing extremely well. Despite what the sun requirements say, Bleeding hearts do not like full sun. I planted mine in dappled sunlight and both are growing like gang busters.

Root arrived healthy and looked good, planted last year and it came back this year only to be pink instead of the red that I ordered and wanted.
