Useful for fine work
This is great for julienne and filet work - anything that requires a deft touch. The blade is very slim and sharp, and is perfect for delicate veg and fish. Only needs a light touch for a precise cut, and is quite easy to sharpen because of the thin blade and dual edge. The balance is almost spot-on, there is a slight heft towards the hilt but it's very slight. A high-end nakiri will have better balance overall, while remaining light and sharp.I wouldn't use it for everyday veg and meat though. It's a specialty knife and is quite limited in what it can do (can't use for cutting dense meat).

Packaging failed, but the knife is very sharp
My family's kitchen needs are vegetable chopping and Nakiri model is perfect for that, relatively shorter height makes it nimble at the same time it has depth to the cutting blade. Vegetable cutting, it is Nakiri, period.About this model, the blade length is shorter at 120 mm as compared to usual range of 130~180 cms for Nakiri's worldwide. So I was contemplating whether to purchase it but the small size is also fine for a typical Indian kitchen needs. The knife is very sharp out of the box, passing the paper cutting, nail cutting and finger cutting(lol). One incident is that Amazon packaging is fine but the plastic case of the product got cut on the blade side and a protector clip peeled off. Not sure the transit caused the knife to cut it's own case or someone tampered the product. It is not a deal breaker as the knife is not visibility damaged, very sharp, balanced weight and if you are not careful, you might cut your skin even through nails.

Exceptional sharpness
Very sharp, easy to sharpen using a good quality sharpener. Amazing weight balance. I own a few good quality knifes bought from other countries, but this one has become my favourite in a short time. It's amazing for vegetable cutting. One thing to note though is that - this is NOT a meat cleaver. This is a thin and light-weight knife. I have used it for some meat and fish cutting, but this is not suitable for any heavy bone cutting type of work.

Okay product.
Highly priced, Not sure about sturdyness because it's very thin and light weight. Very good sharpness. To rack the product while not in use is a bit problematic and mostly these shape of knife holder may difficult to find out.

Excellent product
It’s been close to a year or more that I have been using this knife I had to sharpen it only once till nowIt holds the edge the blade won’t dull I have used it on marble and even rough chopping surfaces it works superThe only thing is it’s too light so if you are using multiple knives in your daily work it takes a bit of time to adjustOtherwise it’s the bestI have used KAI knives from years nowI own the top end to low end of this brandThey give their moneys worth time and again

a good sharp knife
Pros:- Sharp and retains the sharpness- light weight- handle material is good.Cons:- Handle is too thin, hence people with big hands its not comfortable to hold.- the knife is not balanced and is blade heavy, hence will take a some time to get used it

Sturdy make, super sharp edge
It chops vegeables like breeze. Even the bunch of spinach, lettuce and cabbage is cut to pieces in no time. One needs to exercise super caution as its super sharp. For vegetables fine chopping it is a perfect item. I've been using it for more than three months and no complaints, except 2-3 cuts accidentally from its ultra sharp blade.

Remarkably sharp. Good value for money. Feels a little dangerous to hold. Would recommend.
This knife was dangerously sharp when it arrived. With time the edge has reduced in sharpness as it does with all knives and we have decided to not sharpen it like other knives because it feels safer that way. Everyone in the house cut themselves with it. Nothing serious but great sharpness and the price also is on the lower side for such a product. I don't use it as much because all my attention goes in caution and safety. I use an 8 inch victorinox chef's knife in daily use and that feels much safer. I would totally recomment this though. My father (a surgeon) loves it and it's kind of his go-to knife. It's an authentic Japanese product with the touch of history and craft that comes with Japan. Have had it for 3 months and I'm Happy I purchased it.
