Great story.
I liked this story. The characters were interesting. The situation was unusual, but that makes it intriguing because things like that do happen. Ignite is definitely a solid debut by a wonderful author, and from here on one can only expect greater to come. The best part about the story was getting to know Lauren, and seeing how she coped with being thrown into a position where she had to take care of her father's stepchildren. I mean, she didn't even have a relationship with their mother so I was really nervous for her. But as the story progressed I developed a sense of the kind of person Lauren was. She has a good heart, she gets flustered and confused, unsure of herself and what her next step should be, and even though she's been through a lot herself (being neglected by her mother and losing her father), she made the decision to set aside her own issues to help these kids. I liked how clumsy and flawed she was. That's rare to find in books.Lauren's attraction to Dean was only natural, since they had met before and he was a swoon worthy guy. Not to mention they had an invisible bond between them that stemmed from a shared sense of loss and pain. So of course their relationship would bloom in such a fast and intense way, and I enjoyed the angst and longing on both sides. I look forward to getting to know a lot more about Dean in the follow-up, Arclight.I don't know how to express my thoughts on Ignite without spoiling this book, really. I found several scenes funny, emotional, and relatable. The characters were all interesting in their own way, especially the kids. Emma was cute, and I liked the twist towards the end (though I suspected it more). Everyone worked out nicely. It's a good story that's nothing like a lot of the borderline erotic NA's that are being released, so don't steer away from this one because of the genre it falls in. It's something anyone can read and enjoy and I do recommend you give Ignite a try. Can't wait for the sequel.

hard to review ...
There're a lot more thing in this book.Actually I'd thought it was just another creepy love story young adult fiction what I'd read first part of it.Handsome boy, actually early twenties, and family complexed girl... Creepy things, that's what I first thought, because there're many books make the characters' complexed as the excuses or make it as distopia metaphors. But end up as loving how Dean get their relation through all the things there, although it' quite surreal on human beings' perspective as Josher's character was as well. I love how he care L. Oh.. I hated the using of L. words or G. words thing.. I'm too old and conservative on that way. And I was somehow horrified if there's anything bad happen to dean and break L. heart hard. I thought I can related to her lost. Pain and isolation complex well though. But I really really love how Dean care. I can't express how I love it. I think everyone has their own weak moment, and there's sometime they really need someone to run to. And that one can melt their wall down to let his love go through the melting wall, envelop them and heal all those pains and sorrows, then bring back their strength and softly kindness back to their heart. Actually, I need that one to.Please enjoy it.Pretty cover and warm story.

Ignite gave me that happy, amazing feeling inside that I wish would stay forever...
From page one I was absorbed into this contemporary story about love, loss, tragedy and mystery.Ignite is filled and I mean, filled with real life scenarios and realistic characters which grabs any readers attention immediately. With it's wide variety of diverse characters there is definitely someone for everyone to fall in love with and relate to which makes is a wonderful and enjoyable read. It's a simple yet exciting novel that definitely leaves you appreciating life a little more as well as swooning over a certain male lead that will steal your heart from chapter one.Author Lily Paradis creates a world which although seems tough and difficult to live in is also mind blowing and amazing, filled with adventure, love, family, loss, tragedy and all the other good things one could imagine. There is just so much good to say!The chemistry within the book is great! It never feels over powering or rushed nor slow and boring. There always seems to be just enough of it to keep you going and waiting for more. The relationships that are built within the story stay strong and the characters stay true to themselves, which always makes reading pleasant and exciting.Everything in Ignite made me feel...I don't even know how to describe it...Ignited?I felt energised after reading this book. It was one of those books that sort of just make your day and give you a good happy feeling inside.Absolutely loved it!Read in under 6 hours.5 stars.Yours within the Bookworm Revolution,Kat Silver

So Hard to Put Down
I loved this book so much. So much. I connected with Lauren from the beginning, and Dean-the mysterious neighbor? Sounds extremely dishy. They were flawed, had stories that made you just want to hug them (especially Dean, his made me want to cry!).I think I loved this story so much because of the premise: A young girl is left her siblings after parents have passed away. While I still have both my parents, I am the one they chose to take care of my siblings if they were to ever pass away. It just got me to thinking how I would react if I were in Lauren’s situation. For having just learned about inheriting three kids, Lauren handles the situation fairly well. She has moments of panic, but what seems to bring her back down is Dean. Which I don’t know how I feel about, but their romance was sort of cute. There were times in the story that I just had to shake my head at her, but then you get a backstory, and her reactions begin to make sense.I think Dean was my favorite character. He was a very complicated boy with a tragic past, who was trying to make a better life for him and his sister. I want a Dean Powell in my life. I just want to hug him really hard.I found this book really hard to put down.

Great story!
"This was turning out to be a quick lesson in what not to do when you find out you've been given children as an early Christmas present." (Lauren)This book is an absolutely beautiful debut by author Lily Paradis. It had about anything and everything I wanted it to have and it was exactly what I needed. It also happened to be the first book I read in 2015 and it was great!Ignite follows Lauren Anabelle Lindsay who happens to meet the stunning Dean Powell at the DMV and, over the course of this novel, they have something wonderful going on. Besides that Lauren is also faced with the fact that her dad's wife dies unexpectedly and leaves Lauren her three kids, which of course is definitely not something Lauren expected to have to deal with at twenty one. But, she manages to handle the situation way better then I think most people would, especially at her age. This book is packed with twists and turns and unexpected events and it just seriously made me admire the author for managing to squeeze just so many things into these 326 pages, it's really unbelievable. But all of it was amazing and on point. Sure, it was just a tiny bit unrealistic and only a tat too sweet at times but that doesn't matter. It's perfect! The characters in Ignite are amazing. Lauren was a great protagonist and reading from her point of view was just really a lot of fun. She always found a way to say the right things or stay silent when needed but she also had her flaws which made her a very real, likable and strong character."No s***, Sherlock. It was my fault we'd been trapped by an avalanche. Who does that? Only really, really stupid people." (Lauren)Dean on the other hand was flirty, witty and just all around a really fun character. His past was horrible but he grew a lot over the course of this book and, to be honest, I think every girl deserves to have a Dean in her life, despite his past.“He was wearing glasses. Who was he, Clark Kent? No one looked this good all the time. It just wasn’t possible.” (Lauren about Dean)Even though I am not the biggest fan of kids I found the three, Chase, Emma and Callie, to be very interesting characters which never broke character and were very distinct and appropriate for their age. I didn't like Callie for a big part of the book but in the end I started to like her and Emma was just the cutest kid ever. All in all, Lily Paradis managed to simply craft a beautiful plot with great characters and fun dialogues which always gave you all the feels, especially toward the end of the book when all the pieces started to be put together and just this gorgeous picture opens up in front of it.Ignite is a great contemporary novel which I highly recommend to anyone who is up for a nice read which has it all.

I feel like I dont need to say anything else
Ignite by Lily Paradis is her debut novel and one I wish I found sooner. ATTENTION!!! EVERYONE MUST READ THIS!! For those who need more persuasion than that, this is for you....After her father’s untimely demise in a mining accident and her mother’s abandonment, Lauren Lindsay is no stranger to loss. She’s used to living life for one person: herself. That is, until another family tragedy thrusts three children into her care and uproots her life in ways she could never imagine.Lauren's first instinct is to run, until she meets their striking, mysterious neighbor Dean Powell. Their immediate chemistry and his connection with her late father just might be enough to keep her in town long enough to uncover pieces of her past that she never had answers to. Dean’s shady past and her reluctance to trust him could cost her the life she's always been searching for, but will she run back to her old life?Or will she choose to stay and live the life her father always imagined for her?I feel like I dont need to say anything else.... simply perfection and definitely now one of my favourite New adult reads.

Me encantaaaaa. ¡Cuanto amor!
No solo se vive el amor entre una pareja sino el amor familiar. Como a veces el destino está escrito para que todo salga bien al final aunque el camino sea duro. Es uno de esos libros en los que acabas con una sonrisa en la cara. Lo recomiendo
