Magnum Exotics JBM Blend Coffee, Whole Bean, 2 Pack (32 Ounce)

I purchased this coffee beans more than 10 times through Amazon, Costco, and direct purchase from the roastery. I was extremely happy customer, affordable price and good taste. But this year, I must say I'm disappointed with current quality of the beans. 4 years ago, I could feel certain amount of pleasurable scent and smooth taste, but now I believe those characters are very very weak or gone. It just become mild and so-so coffee. It's still better than other crappy coffee beans but I'm not sure I want to buy this again.

I’ve been buying a Jamaican Blue Mountain whole bean blend from a local grocery store for quite a while now and loved every cup. Great tasting coffee.However, recently the bin has been empty and I was told they are having trouble getting more in. So, I decided to try buying JBM whole bean blends from Amazon (I can taste the difference between the blends and the real stuff, but don’t want to spend the money to buy the real stuff). This is the first blend I have tried and so far I am not impressed. This tastes nothing like what I have been drinking and the taste is noticeably inferior. That slight sweet taste just is not there. I’ve tried changing the amount of grounds I brew with the thought that the blend might be different than I am used to but no matter if I go a little stronger or a little weaker nothing changes the final result.I’ll move on to other suppliers and see if I can find something I like better.

I initially wrote a bad review of this coffee. My first attempts at making it gave me an almost undrinkable cup of coffee. No strong coffee smell when opening the bag, and no coffee aroma while it was brewing it either. The finished product tasted almost like water, and bad water at that. I used filtered water, and even doubled and trippled the amount of ground beans that I put in my French Press. Still not a good cup of coffee. I finally gave up experimenting and decided to throw the remaining 1-1/2 pounds of Magnum Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend beans into the trash. As luck would have it, the next morning my housekeeper for some reason pulled it out of the trashcan and set it on my kitchen counter. And for some unknown reason I tried to brew some coffee with it again. I decided to grind the beans really fine, instead of coarse for a French Press. I ground the beans to a size that wound normally be used to make espresso in something other than a French Press. I used the same amount of water and scoops of coffee exactly as if I was brewing my Columbian Coffee. Guess what? The brewed Blue Mountain Blend tasted and smelled wonderful. It was probably the best cup of coffee that I've ever had. So ... If your coffee is weak with no flavor, doesn't smell great while brewing, and just isn't to your liking, you might try what I did. Don't change any of your brewing methods. Just grind your beans really fine. I love this coffee now and will continue to buy more in the future.

This is a medium roast whole bean coffee. It is fairly light bodied, so if you like your coffee toward the dark side, I would suggest about a tablespoon per cup. It is smooth and somewhat aromatic with a hint of nuttiness. The highlight of this blend is its lack of acidity. It makes for a pleasant cup, but I've had better.

My sister in law always brings me back Blue Mountain coffee from their trips to Jamaica. This coffee taste nothing like it. It does not have the smooth taste that I was looking for. Also I have never had a bag of coffee that has white beans here and there a quality control issue I am to assume. Coffee is drinkable but I think for the price I am very disappointed. Would not purchase again.

My favorite coffee! I got these beans to grind and then brew on the weekends in my French Press. Such delicious flavor and aroma. The natural sweetness of the bean really shines when you do a cold brew in the French Press.

After falling in love with Blue Mountain Coffee from Jamaica, I tried a bunch of different coffee brands from various stores hoping to find something that I liked near as well. Unfortunately, I could never find anything close. As soon as I found this coffee on Amazon I ordered it. The bag says it is a arabica coffee blend from the Caribbean, South America and Central America. I didn't expect it to be as good as the stuff from Jamaica, but if it came close I would be happy. Let me just say that I am THRILLED! It is a rich and smooth coffee just like the Blue Mountain Coffee of Jamaica. It is not too heavy and not too light. It is wonderful and I am very happy. My search is over :)

Great tasting coffee....love it. If you are looking for a bold or strong flavored coffee, then this is probably not for you. I can see where some reviewers may have felt this was weak if they are used to Starbucks. But if you want a medium roast with a nice flavor, I would recommend.
