Pair of 8'' 12'' Heavy Duty Stainless Steel L-Shaped Wall Shelf Bracket Support (12'')

These brackets rely on tension to hold the two parts together. When fixing them in place they fell apart. Once secured in position they are OK but ideally they need a couple of spot welds to secure the two parts together. If used to support a shelf and the shelf received an upwards impact the angle supports could simply fall out leaving the brackets to bend under the weight load.Update - I used these brackets to suspend LED strip lights above a work bench. As expected when I was fixing other items to the bench with an impact driver the vibration alone was enough to make the bracket angle supports drop out. I simply don't understand why the sections of the brackets are not secured together.
