If you love NB, you'll stay loyal with these.
I'm not a trail running shoe guru, so I'm mostly here to talk about the fit. I read many reviews before I decided to get these.I wear 9.5/10(M) in most casual shoes & sandals. My are feet are wide & swell pretty good on runs, and I wear thin compression socks on all my runs, so I bought these a 1/2 size bigger & wider and got the 10.5D. I recommend a full size up if you tend to wear thicker socks when you run/walk in these shoes. When I first put them on, they fit almost a bit snug! Did i really need to go up a full size?! I was almost going to return them, but considering I was breaking in two different pairs of shoes at the same time (and had a similar half size up-but-still-snug issue with another pair), I figured it's because I simply need to break them in. They fit well now.The first few runs, I made the rookie mistake of wearing ankle socks on a trail run. My socks slid down very quickly, and I had to keep pulling them up! Very annoying! I fixed that really quick with different socks that are longer. I had to adjust how I loop the laces, but I think everyone needs to do that no matter what shoes they get. I believe, in the past, that my flat feet contribute to my getting blisters/cramps; I'm happy to report that I hardly get them in these, combined with my compression socks. The shoes have grip and takes on loose dirt/sand pretty well. I'd definitely order another pair when it's time to retire these!

SIZE UP LADIES!
Based off appearance and weight these shoes are great! However, against my better judgement I didn't size up as suggested. I opted for my usual size 6 since it was $10 cheaper and the reviews weren't kidding. These run SMALL. I am a small size 6, can sometimes fit a 5.5, and I could wear a 7 in these. They are tight and too short on my tiny feet, but cute and very lightweight (see photo). I would size up and entire size if you are ordering these. You will thank me later. ;)

Runs small. Slippery on hard floors.
They do seem to run small, even for someone with short, stubby toes. (Since my usual size was on sale, I was hoping that previous "runs small" comments might apply to people with a Roman toe. But no, they just seem to run small.) Also, the sole provides poor traction on hard floors. I was hoping that these would also be backup shoes for work, but they were slippery on the hospital floor. The women's wide width was not as roomy as the pair of NB boys' wide width shoes that I love. Unfortunately, most of the current boys' styles look childish.

Great trail shoe.
Great trail shoe. Needs no “break in” but they run very small. I normally wear a 6.5 everyday shoe so a 7.5 running shoe but needed a size 8 in this shoe. Don’t be deterred by the plastics feel as that all conforms to your feet after a few runs. The inner-sock is great, however I recommend upgrading the insoles which are awful - thus the 4 stars.

which I loved! They come in wide which is fantastic because ...
I do a lot of trail running and had the previous version of these shoes, which I loved! They come in wide which is fantastic because they fit really well. I decided to switch it up and try these instead of going for the older model and I am very pleased that I did. They fit well and feel as though I can get 300-400 miles out of them without having them fall apart.

Terrific obstacle course shoe!
I just ran the Colorado 2018 full Tough Mudder in these New Balance train shoes. They fit perfectly and helped me get through 12 miles of mud and trail and to get through, under and over 20 obstacles. The NB shoes provided superb traction which was very important as the course had us tackling some steep inclines up to 12,000 feet above sea level. Equally important is how well they drained after going through the watery, muddy obstacles (e.g. Block Ness Monster, Caged, Kiss of Mud).I hosed them down the next day and they cleaned up well, looking almost brand new. I'm very impressed with the Vazee Summit shoes.

Too tight
The material conforms to the foot but then constricts. After twenty minutes my toes were burning with lack of blood flow. My biggest issue is that there was no invoice or return info in the box. The shoes were expensive and I am unable to return a product that I cannot use.

Impressed....until they started falling apart :(
*EDITED*Love these. Was a bit dubious at first as the inner 'sock' type thing is quite snug, but it's elasticated so is actually quite comfortable, and helps stop grit getting in. The grip is amazing. Did a long mountain run in ice, snow, mud and wet rock, and they were fantastic. Really impressed. They are quite minimalist, so if you need lots of cushioning they're not going to work for you, but I love them! Two months on....the grip is still great, but sadly they're falling apart. The fabric over the toe area is fraying and splitting, and the sole is starting to come away at the toe. Really disappointed as I've previously loved the quality of New Balance shoes. Expected them to last longer than this :(
