Thorlos discontinued their HIGH QUALITY "Everyday Comfort Socks" model ECCXM that had the word "Thorlos" woven into the toe of the sock. These are their NEW and improved model WX13552AMZ and they SUCK --- I am very disappointed in the quality of these socks -- A lot of people on the internet are complaining about the quality of the new Thorlos socks ... Thorlos you have lost your way and substituted an inferior product in the name of saving a few bucks. --- THORLOS you are losing a LIFETIME customer ... I am returning these socks and I will try the ''DARN TOUGH" Merino Wool Fully Padded Socks.

These are good socks, but they have one major flaw: the lack of adequate finishing across the very top of the sock. They fit well, and they are super comfortable. I love the cushioning. They are good for my feet, but after two years of wearing and washing, many of them are coming unraveled across the top. The unraveling began to happen with a few about the first year, and has increased since then.I enjoy wearing Thorlo socks, their running socks are awesome. It's interesting, in that the running socks I've had for five or six years have not come unraveled across the tops -- but on close inspection, they have a woven finish along the top edge that does the job. These walking socks do not.

These socks now have a hard, uncomfortable toe ridge all across the toe. The thread is blue and a coarser thread than the rest of the sock. I am so disappointed in Thorlo - After being a dedicated, committed Thorlo Only sock user for many, many years - I am looking for a different brand of socks. I have no idea where these socks are being made now, but they have changed radically!!

These fit as expected. I wear size 9 medium/regular size shoe and these fit as expected. These socks are a little less thick than the hiking socks Thorlo makes, but that is to be expected. I needed a little time to get used to them as the padding under the balls of my feet felt like the socks had bunched up there during the day. They had not bunched up - it was just that I wasn't used to the extra padding. The socks stayed up where they were supposed to and were not uncomfortable to wear during the day.As I had mentioned in my review of the Thorlo hiking socks, these socks are made in the USA. I have bought socks from other manufacturers that were made overseas and one thing those socks have in common is that no matter how many times they were laundered inside out and right-side out, they always left bits and pieces on the bottom of my feet. That is annoying as hell! These socks do not do that. While these socks are not inexpensive, they are definitely NOT cheap crap. I will definitely be buying more Thorlo socks in the future.

First, these are pretty high quality, very comfortable wicking socks. They have reinforced heel, toe, and top. They're not too thick, not too thin, and very soft. The brown is a nice, deep, kind of standard hershey bar chocolate brown. They're knit. The material is a nylon/acrylic blend, so they wick sweat away and keep your feet dry. Way, way better than cotton.The overall sewing quality and thickness isn't perfect. It just doesn't seem as nice as the ones I've had in years past. But these are still better than any other casual socks that I've found.I use these for day to day business wear, because they look just like dress socks, but they have more padding and much more comfort and dryness. I suppose if your shoes are really tight it might be a problem, but the difference between these kind of "fluffy" socks and a pair of thin dress socks isn't much in terms of fit for me. But it is way better in comfort.Yes, it's all about comfort for me. If I'm on my feet all day at work, that's important, and these are a small investment to get to that.

Bought for son to try for comfort as he is an engineer working in a lab standing all day. So disappointed because both socks incurred a hike upon the first wearing. I didn't get them to him until after return window closed so I could not return for a refund.

Dealing with Hammertoes on both feet since I was in Highschool. Operations on both feet didn't produce very satisfactory results. And so I began my foot-comfort education. This brought me to Thorlo Padded Socks. In the beginning I was trying/testing different products but always returned to Thorlo Socks. Newer styles are always dependable and carry-on their well earned reputation for comfort socks.I'm a walker and a hiker and although I choose comfortable shoes, I'm capable of being as active as I want Thanks to Thorlo Socks. I'm a long time buyer and highly recommend their Socks.

These new casual socks or not the same as the ECCXM. I usually buy the extra large ECCXM14552 and they fit perfectly, These were much too tight and have a very tight elastic band across the top of the foot. In addition they don’t look as well made or as durable. The old ECCXM socks are the best that they’ve ever made. I don’t know why they stopped making them. They used to be available in gray, tan and black. Now black is just about it and I have a feeling they will be long for this world. Someone needs to tell Thorlos to bring back the ECCXM in all colors and all sizes(including the XL). If they ever go back to remanufacturing them i’ll buy lifetime supply. I’ve seen similar reviews by other wearers.

Arrived on time, just the quality I expected. Will buy again when needed.

On my feet 6 hrs or more a day. Great socks.
