Size Name:5-(Pack) The Wagner Control Spray Double Duty uses HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) air power technology to spray thin materials such as stains, sealers, urethanes, varnishes and lacquers. It features a two-stage indoor/outdoor-rated air turbine for a continuous flow of material and air, producing a professional fine finish whether staining your deck or refinishing your kitchen cabinets. A three-position air cap adjusts the spray pattern for either vertical fan, horizontal fan or round pattern shapes to most effectively get the job done quickly and with the best even coverage. Material flow is easily controlled with the variable trigger and allows the user to spray ½-inch to 9-inch wide patterns. The Wagner Control Spray sets up in less than five minutes and cleans up in less than ten.

Burned Out Motor
The motor died after using 4 times since I received the sprayer on 4/4/15. I loved the sprayer for ease of assembly and use. Yesterday, spray gun smelled like electrical burning and motor would work no more. I called Wagner technical at which time the person told me this sprayer was not for use with water based paint. I read to her from the book enclosed with sprayer that it can be used with water based paint. I was using Minwax polyacrylic water based sealer to seal knotty pine wood. Please note it was performing beautifully until it "died". She said the sprayer was intended only for small, fine jobs. No where do I read this sprayer should be used for small jobs ONLY. All the reviews I read before purchasing this sprayer indicated otherwise, e.g., used for painting home fences, decks, furniture, etc. There were many happy customer reviews which is why I purchased this product. I was told to send sprayer to Wagner at my cost and they would look at it. If it is manufacturer defect, they will pay for shipping sprayer back to me. I'm very unhappy since I was in the middle of a fine finish project and even more unhappy due to what appears to be poor tech support from Wagner. Note, technician appeared to not believe I was referring to a Control Spray Double Duty paint sprayer even though I was reading directly from the box.

Mostly because I knew it would look freakin' awesome and I wanted to take all of the credit
I decided to repaint our deck... and I told my boyfriend that I wanted to do it myself. Mostly because I knew it would look freakin' awesome and I wanted to take all of the credit. :) For the most part, he left me alone. But, he couldn't help himself and had to at least offer a LITTLE unsolicited advice as he watched me use a small paint brush to paint each and every crevice and spindle on the railings by hand over the course of 18 hours. As I reached the halfway point for the FIRST COAT, while seriously doubting why I thought this would be an "easy weekend project", he pops up and says "looks great! I wonder if it would've been easier just to spray it with a paint sprayer...?"So, obviously, I had to explain why that was a horrible idea (overspray, runs, etc.) and why a paint brush was the only way to go. Two weeks (and three coats) later, I finally finished painting the railings white. I took one look at the lattice I would need to stain next and immediately ordered this sprayer on Amazon, because there was no way in hell I was going to spend another two weeks shoving my paintbrush into every nook and cranny of 100+ sq ft of lattice.I read the directions and fired this 'lil puppy up, and MY GOD - WHAT A DREAM. I don't want to go too far and say it was slightly orgasmic..... but it was slightly orgasmic. I sprayed all of the lattice under the deck in maybe.... 20 minutes or less? You can adjust the spray angle, the volume, etc. with just a quick little twist. The stream is so controlled with practically zero spray if you are careful and deliberate. I had purchased a bunch of drop cloths thinking I'd need to cover my white railings just in case.... but I didn't even open the packages. In fact, I was able to spray the wood right next to the white posts (literally touching the post) without getting any stain on it! Maybe I'm an excellent sprayer, or maybe this little machine is just THAT good... I'll let you decide. So I did what every strong, independent woman would do and admitted that I was 150% wrong and absolutely should've used this sprayer on the railings. It would've saved me so much time, energy and frustration.I love this sprayer so much, I've started spraying EVERYTHING... the shed, fence, patio furniture, etc. I have had zero problems. If this magical creation can keep up with my home improvement projects, I'm convinced it can do anything.

Awesome time saver
I smoked through staining my fence. Made life so much easier and took little time to get the hang of it. As with a lot of projects most work is in the prep work. Pressure washed first, 10+ years of paint, then stained. Great product and highly recommend for fence staining.

First I Hated It Then I Loved It
Gosh I really started to dislike it when I first used it. But then I figured it out. My project was to reface my kitchen cabinets. I used Sherwin Williams Pro Classic paint and Minwax Polycrylic clear coat with this. Thanks to one of the posters, I diluted the paint just a little more than 4:1 (4 parts paint plus just over 1 part water). Make sure you practice on a piece of cardboard first or pick up a used cabinet door for a $1 at your local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store place (if you have one near you). But honestly, you'll probably won't really figure it out until you paint a few pieces first and find your groove. Before spraying, make sure all parts (reservoir and spray tip) are tightened or you'll get splatter and spitting (oops). But once you figure this baby out, you'll be knocking out some professional looking work in a matter of minutes.Tips:When you use a high solids paint like Sherwin Williams, keep in mind you have to have a higher dilution ratio than a lower quality, thinner/low solids paint. That's what I had to realize. Also, when painting the doors and drawer fronts, I found that having the flow setting set on the lowest setting and the spray pattern in a circle to produce the best results.Overall, this will save you a lot of time if you have a lot to paint. There's going to be a threshold you'll have to figure out if it's worth it or not. The finish alone will make it worth it. But also remember to use a high quality paint like Sherwin Williams if you really care about the piece. A high solids paint that levels beautifully makes all the difference.Love it. Highly recommend.

I just used this yesterday it was fantastic!!
I just used this yesterday it was fantastic!!!! I painted 28 shutters with slats with ease! Each one took about 2min a piece! This is worth every penny I paid for it. The last time I painted these shutters it took 2 days with a paint brush. It was my first time using a sprayer and only wish that I had discovered it sooner. I thought it would be complicated because I am female and not familiar with thing like that. I used SW latex with primer paint and put a little water to thin. Clean up was easy just follow directions but do clean it good so it won't clog. Hopes this helps!!!!

Great experience
I purchased this for the primary reason of spraying bedroom furniture I built. The sprayer exceeded my expectation when spraying latex. I used Floetrol conditioner with a little water to thin the paint.
