Q: How far can you go between each unit and keep a good signal? I want to get Netflix in my garage about 40 ft away.

You should keep the Mesh points within 32ft between each other to keep the good signal, thank you for your understanding.

Q: Does it supply 220 volts and how many routers 8500 sq.ft and doesn’t affect the speed of the main internet?

My home is around 3000 sq feet and I'm planning on adding a 4th M1 unit. While I generally have good coverage, some IOT devices, (like a doorbell, thermostat) don't get the range of a laptop or a phone so an extra unit should help. There is a limit of 6 points (i.e. M1 units) so you would need the maximum number. I'm not what you mean by affecting the speed of the main internet. I have a mix of wired and wifi devices and performance is good. I would recommend the following setup. Plug a M1 into your cable modem. Plug a gigabit ethernet switch into the M1. Use ethernet from the switch to connect as many of your satellite M1's as possible. Of course, they can connect wirelessly too, but ethernet will be the best connection if it's possible.
