OLSAT® PRACTICE TEST Gifted and Talented Prep for Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Gifted and Talented Prep (Gifted and Talented Practice Test) Paperback – August 1, 2014

My daughter is 4 and we are preparing her for kindergarten testing which is how we stumbled upon this book. I was disappointed that this book was not more challenging, especially because it is supposedly geared toward an advanced, gifted testing audience. The presentation of the book is great, but it is probably more suited for 3 year olds.

I felt this book was easier than I hoped it would be. I originally bought it for my 1st grader to see roughly how he might do when GATE tested this year. When he blew through it, I gave it to my 4 year old who also completed it easily by himself. It was a bit expensive so I was hoping that there would be challenges that we could discuss and work through together. However, I give it 5 stars anyway because the boys enjoyed it and it kept their attention. If you think your child is developing for the magnet program, I would recommend this book for 3-4 year olds.

I like the book. However, I was surprised 3 problems that my daughter answered correctly, the answer key had a different number as the correct choice. One problem, the answer key did have the correct answer as an option. Otherwise good practice book.

Very good practice for our 4-year-old. Lots of entertaining exercises, good visuals and easy instructions to follow. She loves it and asks to "work" with me in it!

Incredibly expensive for what you get...I paid about $25. My 4 year old loved the questions but also said that these questions were not like the ones she had on the actual g&t test.

I purchased this book to help my Kindergartener prepare for the OLSAT test. While we worked through the problems, I found multiple errors in the book. I also purchased another OLSAT prep book which was leaps and bounds better than this one. I recommend purchasing one with a higher rating.

Expensive for price but good for learning

Worth the buy to help in testing. some things might be basic but you never know how much or how your child would think when these questions are asked of them unless you prepare them ahead of time.
