Expensive but worth it.
I suffer with hyperhydrosis, have done since being a teen (now late 30s) and have always struggled finding something that works. I settled with a 96hr antiperspirant but after a few years this is no longer working, and I'm at the age where I'm conscious of the aluminium. I was sweating and smelling by 9.30 in the morning and having to reapply multiple times. I've tried deodorants before but they've just never cut it. Having read the reviews I figured I had nothing to lose by trying this, and I'm so glad I did. I'm a week in and have not smelled of b/o once, despite being at work, dancing around the house with the kids, and lugging a toddle around who decided he didn't want to walk anymore on the school run. I have still sweat but nowhere near as much as I thought I would, and actually less than with the antiperspirant. It's been minimal. The first couple of days when I felt myself getting a little damp I was a bit paranoid so reapplied, but once I found the confidence I realised I really didn't have to. Yes it's a little grainy looking but it doesn't feel grainy, they're soft lumps that easily rub away into your skin. I also bought a key from here to help turn it, not the Akt brand, just a generic one for £4 and it really helps. Hopefully it will last a while then I will try another scent.Edit: it's expensive but has lasted me 8 weeks and that's applying twice in the early days until i built up the confidence to realise i really didn't need it as i didnt smell. I'm just about to try another scent. As it got hotter I tried a refillable antiperspirant (sold as the first of its kind) as well as my original antiperspirant and on both occasions I was sweaty but also started smelling, something I haven't once noticed whilst using AKT. I also feel like I was somehow sweating less with the balm than with the antiperspirant but I have no idea how that would work. Anyway, if you're unsure then it's worth a try.

The best 'no-nasty chemicals' deodorant I've tried
I bought this at the start of the the year and I feel like I've really put it through it's paces. I'm a performer (who sweats a lot!) and I've been touring a very active show to some wildly different climates; from the tiny cold Scottish isle of Mull to the south of France in 40 degree heat to very humid Singapore.Of all the natural deodorants I've tried, this it the best at deodorising - of course it doesn't stop the sweat, but it stops me smelling awful, even after many hours of sweating with heat and after running around on stage. I LOVE the smell - I have the purple Onsen one. It's quite strong, but I love this. I'd much prefer to smell of this than BO! And it's not like the fragrance is overbearing after it's applied. You only really need to use a small amount, and it lasts for most of the day. I think the tube itself will last quite a while - I got it in January, and I'm perhaps half way through in July? Oh, and it hasn't left any marks on my clothes. The only thing I've noticed is that extreme temperatures can have an effect on the thickness of the paste. When I was in Scotland, it was snowing outside and fairly cold inside, but not freezing. The paste became very hard to squeeze out! Not impossible, but difficult. Then, in very hot climates, at about 40 degrees Celsius, it becomes very thin and a bit watery, so you need to take care squeezing it out, as it'll flow out very quickly. However, I really haven't minded this at all. Perhaps in order to stay consistent in all temperatures, you'd need to add chemicals - then it wouldn't be a natural deodorant!Overall, it's the most expensive deodorant I've ever bought, but as a sweaty performer, it's a great investment. It's the best of the natural deodorants and I love the strong smell. Packaging looks great too. comes in a nice box. I would even say this would be a great gift for a performer!

End of the day and still smelling fresh
I bought the orange fragrance and it reminds me a little of the rituals orange body cream only not as strong. It works very well though :) I've tried wild and fussy and both at the end of the day my underarms were wet and a slight odour :-( the only thing that stops it getting a 5 star is the lid is a littke fiddly and really shouldn't be needing to jab a pen into it to open. A design flaw really for something so expensive. Also once rubbed in it is quite powdery and did get a little on my black top but overall im just happy that finally I've found something that stops me sweating. I've also bought a 5ml sample of the columbia Road one which is tiny but smells very much of violets :) like the daisy twinkle perfume or a nice M&S handcream. Again the lid is a little fiddly. With the 5ml you break the nozzle then put it back in upside down.
