Great for shading drawings
I got these to use for shading my pastel drawings. They are soft and great for shading. You won’t regret the purchase.

Used For Sidewalk Chalk Art
I used these as a fine outline on my sidewalk chalk art at a local competition. They worked well for that, but it does use them up quickly.I think they were the right hardness for the sidewalk.

Wonderful To Create , But Come Broken
They work wonderfully and blend great, but unfortunately came broken which isn't ideal. Thankfully it broke in a way where I was able to work with it, but be warned of breakage.

incorrect product description. These are black pastels.
These are black pastels, semi-soft, make strong marks and are a good value.

Not great for shipping
This arrived in molded plastic packaging. This arrived broken. I will not have the chance to let you know how it handles as drawing material due to the fact that it arrived in tiny pieces and dust. You may want to consider punching this item in an art supply store instead of online because it does not travel well. I am not sure if it was delivered broken from shaking or dropping, either way it is too fragile to be delivered by mail/fedex/ups.

The best
This is the best soft charcoal I’ve ever used. It is the same charcoal that the school instructor at college required as well. Price isn’t too bad but we are also in the middle of a pandemic and war so everything is inflated!
