Great light, I recommend it!
Great light! Long battery life. Easy to attach. Brighter than I hoped. Waterproof, maybe don’t use it literally underwater. Commonly used charging cable. Name makes me think of a talking TV car, never saw the show.I liked it so much I bought it for my girlfriend and she’s probably the only person on the planet that’s willing to have sex with me so you know how much I’m relying on this bike light to keep her safe.

Excellent bike light in a small size
I have used NiteRider lights for several years and have found they give strong illumination and good durability. This one did not disappoint. I particularly appreciate that the handlebar mounts are universal and fit all models, past and present. I use this for day riding in flash mode to increase visibility.

The Best Light For the Money
Niterider remains my-go to choice for illumination, size, weight, value and battery strength. Oh yeah, great value too!

great bang for the buck!
I have used niterider since the Halogen days, mid 90s for me. I typically do 2 trail night rides a week. This 650 is ample light if mounted on the helmet. I have been using an older 250 on the helmet and bars and it lights the trail just fine. Have used this setup from Pagosa to Bentonville to Sedona. The 650 is perfectly capable in the dark woods to street commuting which I do as well. I typically get about 3 hours using the medium mode and about 1 3/4 hours on high. I only wish that it came standard with a helmet mount.

Daily commuter in Portland, OR
No, this light will not light up a trail - it's not intended to. Intended use is for urban commuting where a bit of extra forward lighting is needed, or as a supplement to a more powerful light if used on trails or darker commutes. I use this light as a daytime flasher and an after dark supplement to the NiteRider 650. I have a few stretches of ride where it's very dark when cloudy and rainy, so the extra brightness this little light produces helps see any obstacles in the way.If you're wanting to use this as your exclusive forward blinky light, it's a bit too bright, IMO, to use at night unless it's on the handlebars and pointed down and off to the side. Directly beaming this into oncoming motorists line of site could be dangerous. The handlebar mount is nice, as you can turn the light side to side.Speaking of the handlebar mount, IMO NiteRider has the best on the market. I've looked at nearly every other manufacturer and have not found a better one. It is secure, does not rattle (much - my 7 year old NiteRider 650 is beginning to get a little loose), and the stainless hardware parts do not rust.

light is great, the supporting features need more development
This light works really well, but the handle bar mount is large and clunky looking and the light also rattles in the mount on rougher pavement. Also, the blue "status" light on top is much brighter than necessary, to the point of being distracting when its really dark out. These annoyances aren't worth sending it back, as the light itself is a good value, but I think I'd purchase another brand if I were to do it all over again.

Great Cycling Lights
Great lights for cycling. My wife & I use these on helmet mounts, we each have one. We also have Micro 850s mounted on handlebars & Saber 80s for the rear. Very bright, but can be dimmed & also have a strobe setting. Battery life is excellent. Highly recommend Niterider products.

Battery lives for about 1.5 years...
Light is bright, but only for about 1.5 years. Then it's dead, you have to thow it away and buy something else, as the battery cannot be replaced.

Tres lumineuse!

Nice little light
Bought this for the occasional night ride. On my local routes there are some short sections without street lamps or any other lights. Bought this to illuminate the way and also help me be seen.So far the charge has been good and the range of the light is enough for what I need it for, no high speeds. :)It replaced a little battery powered cateye light and I now prefer the rechargeable light,
