Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle - Ice Cold 36 Hours! Vacuum + Copper Technology - 25 Ounce

For the last few years I have been in the process of entirely cleansing myself and my family of everything Plastic. We have been using glass and stainless steel where possible and just ridding ourselves of the last two plastic bottles. Now that my husband is back to studying...I am using this fantastic thermo tank for his hot drink every morning. Have been doing this for about 5 months now and this beauty has NEVER once let us down. Each day he settles in for a hot drink...it stays piping hot for hours. Even at the end of the day it's still hot...this is amazing. Best of all it doesn't sweat or drip at all and never has it leaked once. I am so in love with it that I purchased the other one for myself. Love, love, love this..I just love the fact that it is totally 100% Stainless steel...no plastic in the rim of the lid or anything...these bottles are just wonderful for everything...and being Eco-friendly too just adds to the many benefits.Stainless steel is so durable...made out of natural elements to start with, and they can be easily recycled into new products when the time comes. Though plastic bottles are often made from recycled materials and can be recycled themselves, both creating and recycling plastic is less friendly to the environment than stainless steel production and recycling. Stainless steel bottles can be used under virtually any condition. Because of their versatility and durability, stainless steel water bottles are the bottles of choice for me...If you've ever used a plastic water bottle, you know how flimsy they can be. Some plastic water bottles are meant for one-time use and crush easily. Others are made to be used multiple times. However, Even if you run over a stainless steel water bottle with your truck, it will survive. The plastics in recyclable plastic water bottles are thought to be a health risk. Harmful chemicals are emitted from these bottles, and these chemicals might cause cancer. By switching to stainless steel, you can prevent harmful carcinogens from leaching into your drinking water. Environmentally friendly, durable, safe, and easy-to-clean, stainless steel water bottles are an excellent alternative to using plastic water bottles.

At first I was not a fan. I could not get ice cubes to fit through the neck of the bottle, and when I tried to crush ice cubes myself, I just made little ice chips and ice cube chunks that were still too big to fit. Then, I tried filling it with water and leaving it in the fridge to cool the water down. That didn't work, and so I looked at the instructions that came with the bottle and realized I was doing it the wrong way! The instructions say not to fill it up with room temperature water and put it in the fridge - that will NOT cool the water down. The water will stay the temperature (hot, warm or cold) that it is when you put it into the bottle.So, I bought this ice cube tray:  Thermi Ice Cube Tray with Easy Release Push Pop Out Narrow Ice Stick Cubes for Small Mouth Sport Water Bottles like S'well 'Cola' Vacuum Insulated Bottles (3 Pack)  and filled it up. These fit perfectly into the bottle, and the water stays cold for 24hours even though the cubes themselves do melt after about six hours or so. This bottle has held up well for several months. I got it for hot yoga because I wanted a bottle with a lid so I would not accidentally spill when kicking it over. The amount of water is perfect and at the end of class, it's still icy cold. If I knock it over, the lid is tight with no leaks. I love this bottle and would recommend it over a Swell, because those are just overpriced and do the same thing.

Had a problem when I got it. Item says it is 11.5 inches tall but that didn't take into consideration that with the cap on, it makes it 12 inches tall. I needed it for a space 11.5 inches tall so it wouldn't fit. I emailed Jessica at Maki Brands and told her of the discrepancy. She told me not to worry about it and said to just keep it and she would send me out a smaller one (17 ounce) for free! Now how's that for great customer service?? The only minor inconvenience is the cap. It does a beautiful job of keeping the liquid cold or hot but you have to unscrew it each time since there is no option for a sport or flip lid. This is no problem if you are on the trail or working but difficult to use when in a car. This is a minor thing however compared to just how well this bottle works!Now for the good news. I tested this bottle with about 1/2 crushed ice and the rest cold water. As I drank the water down, I refilled the bottle but left the ice in.Each time I did this, some of the ice melted to chill the water. I started the test on September 29th at 1pm. I was working on my roof and it was hot so I drank a lot of "cold" water which was great. I filled it with water again and drank it off and on during the night. The I filled it again yesterday afternoon at 1pm (24 hours) and the ice was still there, though not as much, and the water still ice cold! I worked outside again yesterday and drank a lot of water. I refilled it last night and, again, drank some off and on during the night. Then this morning when I got up, I added some more water. Still some ice! I finally ended the test at around noon today, October 1st. I drank most of the water again in the morning and when I dumped the rest out at noon, a tiny bit of ice came with it and the water was still ice cold. That means the Thermo Tank kept the water ice cold even after adding more water multiple times and never adding more ice. Altogether, the Thermo Tank kept my (several times refilled) bottle of water ice cold for 48 hours - not 36 hours -better than advertised! this just blew me away!! The biggest advantage here is when you are traveling and stop at a fast food joint and get a fountain drink, you can pour it into the Thermo Tank and it will stay cold and NOT diluted for hours! How many times have you taken a soda with you on a trip only to have it warm and flat in less than an hour but you still drink it because you are thirsty? not anymore with Thermo Tank!For the best customer service on the planet and the best hot/cold bottle on the market, you can't go wrong with Thermo Tank. Just buy it!!
