FasTrim Paint Roller, Edger, Starter Kit, 5 Piece, 11 Position Adjustable Handle, 10mm Fiber Roller Cover

Been shopping for years on Amazon and this is my first review. Like others, I read a couple reviews on this kit. I was very skeptical but I have a bad back plus I hate taping before a paint job plus I love trying products that state they can solve a common problem. I am one of those guys that loves the " As Seen On TV" label. So I had to give this thing a try. I also know that if it didn't work out, Amazon would refund me. I placed the order, and much to my surprise, the kit came very fast, wrapped great, already a good start. I had questions, and even though it came with a "how to" flyer, I still had more questions. I felt there was more to it. I have been trying products like this for years and I knew, there must be someone out there who has done a review or a website that could show me more about this genius product.So I googled it and right away I found the manufacturers website. I watched their "how to" videos, and went back and read the instructions I got in my flyer with the shipment. I hate taping and I need to paint the entire downstairs of my house, so to be extra sure I was doing this thing right, I used the chat feature on the website and they gave me some good tips on what to do and not do.I felt comfortable enough after I talked to them to give this a try. One tip the tech told me was, since I was doing this for the first time I must use the "Dab Method".Basically all I do is fill the roller up with paint without getting paint on the gasket. To test to see if you get any paint on the gasket, tap it on a paper towel to see if you get a ring of paint. If you see a ring, you must clean the ring by using the same paper towel. Once there is no paint on the paper towel from the " Tap Method", you can role each section. Surprisingly, I could get around 15 to 20 feet of wall at a time in a roll. After doing this a couple of times, this " Dab Method", I learned how to properly roll the paint in the paint tray. I definitely used less and less paint when I did the "Dab Method" and I got the hang of it fairly quickly (10-15 minutes?)I used an extension pole with this roller attached to it. One really neat feature that I found out is that I can adjust it to certain angles. That alone saved me a ton of time.I took out the ladder but only used it several times.Now, I can see why people will have issues with it. Unless they check the gasket before you role every time, can might get some paint on the sections you don't want paint on. There is no doubt that spending a few minutes to actually just learn it, instead of hours of taping, its totally worth every penny (and saves me back pain).Overall, it does work. It did save me time. I would have spent hours taping my entire downstairs. It also saved me dealing with my bad back for days after. The "Dab Method" can be frustrating in the start of it, but after a couple times of doing it, it's easy and I'll never have to tape again and I'm happy I gave this a try.

The yellow roller handle is great, built strong, locks in strong, doesn't feel cheaply made, but the white roller covers won't do an edging job as I was expecting, it leaves to big of a gap unpainted at the edge line and sometimes will get paint on it even when being very careful. I really like the handle but the roller covers didn't work out for me to do edging.

Works great but does not edge as good as i would of liked

High quality materials but did not perform anywhere near as expected. The gasket on the roller keeps it to far from the edge you are trying to paint. Don't waste your money.

Great product, I painted 3 average size rooms in 1 day. Really fast tool.

Dissappointing at best !! It did not edge as promised. THis edger left a 1/8 in void instead of edging right up to corner of wall/ceiling.
