Great. Really works. My Gas Safe registered plumber had another make detector, similar looking to mine but larger. I could smell a little gas in the hall most mornings but his detector couldn't find the source. My detector did, as it was beeping at a fast pace around a couple of the burners on the Gas hob. Indicating there was gas present even though the hob was off. All he said after doing another type of test closer to the Gas meter, without using his gas detector, was that there was a small permissible amount of gas loss/leak in the property. I asked him to change the hob to an electric induction one, and he arranged for his electrician to install it. Later after it was installed he did a gas safety check certificate for me and said my gas loss/leak had completely gone... it was now Zero!

Seems to detect gas OK. Not tested it with a leak as we don't have any (hopefully), bought just in case, but I did start the stove and put out the flame, and the alarm activates.The sensitivity button does nothing as far as I can tell. The "Geiger counter clicks" don't really change frequency as they should given what is stated in the manual. The alarm starts sounding when the dial is close to maximum, and then stops when it's at max. I see no other effect.A bit annoyingly, as feedback that it started, it does the alarm wail once. Looks a bit cheap. Hopefully it will last.

I bought this as I have a gas fire that had to be replaced due to a small gas leak. It wasn't particularly noticable, but I was feeling tired more often. Having this now is great for my peace of mind and seems to be doing it's job, but when I initially opened it I was disappointed at how cheap and plastic'y it looks. It didn't help my reassurance thinking it may have been cheaply made, but thankfully the internal workings seem to be better than the overall look outside. If it saves a life, then it is well worth the money and I prefer to be with it than without, but I may have preferred paying extra for it to look better, giving more reassurance of the device.

We’re remodeling our house, and the contractor moved some gas lines around. Since then, I’ve been smelling gas in the house, especially in our laundry room and kitchen. The contractor had his guys check the lines with a bubble tester, and they said they found no leaks. They closed up the walls, and I still smell gas, so strongly that I’m afraid to move back into the house when and if the remodel ever gets done. So, I found this handy dandy gas detector on Amazon, and it went crazy when I brought it into the house and crazier still when I put the detector near gaps in the walls where the gas pipes are. I feel vindicated! Hopefully, we can now avoid dying of CO poisoning in our sleep.

Gave a very strong indication of a mains gas leak. Called gas board out and they confirmed not so much as a tiny leak. Waste of money, waste of time and potentially dangerous if inaccurate the other way around as well

It does what it says on the tin...albeit it is hypersensitive and not easy to set a useful threshold. Made of rather cheap materials...but it does work and it wasn't too expensive.

I thought I could smell gas in my house however both my husband and daughter could not smell it so I bought this product to ease my mind. It was very accurate and it turned out we had two gas leaks in the house as comfirmed by the gas board who attended the house that night. I would definitely recommend this product. My only downside was it took 5 days to arrive and I am a prime customer, it was lucky the leaks were not to big.
