Can you use this to blend, and make smoothies? Yes you can. Does it leak ? The lid fits perfectly. I love that it has a stainless steel gear and blades, I love the design not too short and not to tall it’s just right.

This drive coupler on the left does not fit far enough into the socket of my Vitamix Explorian and doesn't engage properly. The picture on the right shows the closer fit of my original Vitamix brand 64 oz container. First use with a thin smoothie worked fine. On the second use, with a thicker Soup, It jumped once and skipped. I placed my hand on top and it worked once the ingredients had thinned a little. I returned the product in fear that it might damage my Vitamix and ordered the Vitamix container. This price was very attractive, but I remembered why I splurged for the Vitamix quality in the first place.

Blender didn’t fit as described . Was purchased as a replacement for a broken one but didn’t work so was returned . Unable to provide a review but returned with no problem.

I made multiple attempts to contact VitaMix to see if this container would work on 5300 base. Never able to make contact with them.I ordered this in the hope that it would work. And it did. So happy with the lower profile.

just the right size for 1 person. Fits right under my cabinet. Have the 640z also but that one does not fit under cabinet. Well-made and sturdy.

Does not work, when I tried using it the blender makes a loud screeching sound like steel rubbing against steel. would have returned it had I try it before.
