While the advertisement states that this is for mounting a camera on a motorcycle helmet, that part isn't needed by me, as I haven't ridden a motorcycle in years. However, I do have places in my workshop where I want a permanent camera mount. These are perfect!The mount comes with a standard 1/4-20 bolt to hold your camera. The adjustment to tilt it up and down is easy to use and strong. You don't want to put anything too heavy on it, but it will work well with a GoPro or other action camera.The base is flexible enough to stick firmly to your bike helmet, but it's not like a rubber pad. It is flexible enough to conform to the curves of a helmet, but you couldn't wrap it around a handlebar. The bottom is coated with a high quality 3M extra-strong double sided tape pad. After a day or so, you can figure the mount there to stay.To mount it to a helmet, or anywhere else, the surface must be clean and free of grease or oil. I used an alcohol pad to do a final cleaning on the area before mounting it. As alcohol may effect some special paint jobs or clear coating on the helmet, just clean it with soapy water and rinse it well. Make sure the place you want it is clean and dry.You get two camera mounts and two sets of GoPro-style mounts. (I don't have a GoPro, so this part is unimportant to me.) The mounts are very strong, the tilt you want is held in place and won't go anywhere until you want it to.This is a fantastic set of camera mounts and well worth the five stars!

Good adhesive. Flexible enough to stick to a curved surface but solid enough to be stable. The hinge has teeth so it doesn't slip.

The mounts use some insanely tough 3M adhesive. Somehow able to withstand 100mph+++ speeds holding a heavy selfie stick and an insta360 and dont budge on the windscreen of my motorcycle. I love them and have 4 placed in different areas to get the good shots for short videos while riding.

Nice mount. 3M VHB brings the hold and creates a solid base camera. Provides a ton of mounting options and placement. The base is on the large size but again it's this footprint that gives it a solid foundation. If your use case is a small area you may be surprised by the size. Again, not a bad thing for stability and hold. Use of 3M VHB is as solid and proven as it gets so thats a winner as well. Really lots to like with noting to not. These rock!

I ordered these for use on equipment, such as my tractors. I figured if they fit on a helmet, they should fit on a curved tractor hood, and maybe other things? Mounts are good quality, and use 3M tape. I'm happy to see the silicone washers, over the little o-rings that come with some mounts. I think these are going to work perfect for my action camera, or 360 camera.

I used this to mount my Insta360 camera on my Jetski and it worked great. The 3M adhesive is very sticky and secure the mount to my upper hull. I put a leash on the camera as a backup just incase the mount break off. So far so good. The mount is easy and quick. I highly recommend this product.

This is the best camera mount on Amazon I have found. The quality is second to none, They use 3M sticking pads and once the base is mounted you can't remove it. The adjustment for angles are firm with saw tooth design and a tight clamping screw so whatever you mount on it stays in place and just the way you put it. I've used these before and there are no better. 💯💯💯

This took only seconds to mount to my helmet and then mount a GoPro camera to it. So far, it has stayed in place. Another really nice feature is the ability to adjust the angle in smaller increments than most toothed variable angle units allow. It's very light weight so adds nothing to the helmet loading.
