Great Water Filter
Easy to install , budget friendly great value for the money

They seem* to function
There's no obvious bad taste to my ice, but at the bottom of every glass there's a build up of calcium carbonate and it's fairly unsightly.I don't know, entirely, that these filters are wholly effective, but I suppose that they are better than nothing.

Hit or miss
I echo some of the other reviews. I have now used 4 different units of this filter. With this 4th unit, I am seeing some vibrating noise as well as flow reduction and a minor leak. Will not buy again.

These filters work well in my GXRLQ ice maker water filtration system and are much less expensive.

Moan and groan like old pipes -- Not worth the $$$
Thought I was getting a good deal on replacement filters for my GE system. I guess I forgot the old adage, "You get what you pay for". My bad...These filters install easily, but have some kind of internal problem where they vibrate and moan (loudly), kind of like old plumbing might. And what's worse, is that when the vibrating starts, the flow decreases to a trickle. At first, I could run the water dispenser on my 'fridge for about 10 seconds before the moans and groans began. Now it happens as soon as the flow begins. So these filters are inexpensive (relative to the GE filters), but they're pretty useless.
