I recently purchased the Hilitand Plastic Gears Set and I have to say, these are exactly what I was looking for to repair some of my vintage toys. The set includes a great variety of sizes, which is very helpful. In fact, I've bought this set multiple times now because there are a couple of common sizes included that I often need. However, I do wish I could find a source for those specific sizes alone, as buying the entire set repeatedly can get a bit expensive. Nevertheless, the gears are high-quality and have held up well in my repairs so far. Overall, I highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a reliable source of plastic gears.

With this gear set, I am working on a project to allow me to adjust the focus of a telescope remotely.So far, the gears are strong, easy to work with, and the teeth mesh well together. The set includes a variety of gear types that will allow you to complete your design, no matter how it has to fit together. I have inspected the teeth of the gears and did not find any manufacturing defects.Aside from the above points, this is an excellent learning tool to teach how gears work. Simple designs with these gears can show how speed and torque are produced.Overall, this is a good set of gears at an amazing price. I highly recommend.

These are nice to have for math/science play. You can provide kids with toothpicks or pushpins, a piece of Styrofoam and a mixed handful of these gears and just let them play and learn!

This is good collection of gears and pulleys, but not any labels telling telling their diameter or teeth pattern. It is a good kit for hobby enthusiast or for STEM kit

This is a large assortment of plastic gears. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to use any of them to repair a robot vacuum drive train as there were some proprietary/special gears that I couldn't find a suitable replacement for.There are a lot of gear types in this kit, with various size shaft diameters, overall diameters, teeth size, hub lengths, etc. It's a good kit to have on hand for the odd chance that something may be fixable by having a spare gear somewhere, or otherwise if you are trying to build a drive train for some other gadget.
