The post sleeve fit perfectly over my existing 4x4. Provides a very finished product. Good quality sleeve. Straight, shiny....no imperfections.Weatherables even shipped this via Amazon for free. Sleeve was packed perfectly in it's own box and box was not damaged at all. Cap provides an extra level of finishing.Make sure your post is straight. Ours was a little crooked, but, was able to push the sleeve over it with no problem.

These worked PERFECT! Our posts were a few inches shorter so they needed to be trimmed so my son did it with a fine saw blade. These gave our old posts a total face-lift and no more staining and squirrels climbing. Delivery was fast and the quality is excellent!

These fit the 4x4 pt wood posts perfectly. I bought the 8 foot post and cut them in half to cover the posts I put in. They have held up well through one (very cold and snowy) winter.

Worked well as a post cover for my bird feeder. Price is high but it worked.

I actually used this as a mail box post cover and it looks and works great. I put in a 4X4 wood post and added this as a cover to protect the wood and to add a little color to the mailbox project.It is sturdy and has a nice finish. I could order it for the exact length needed and it fit over the 4X4 perfectly.So my project worked out great and I think it will last for a long time.

I still don't know the thickness of the material. Not posted but should be. In any event, it is thick enough for this application. Very pleased with it. The 4x4 runs up only about halfway. It was originally used for a weather station.
