I do love a good sugar scrub. The sugar crystals and coffee granules help slough off old, dull skin to reveal the fresh young skin underneath. This scrub also has pomegranate extract to help brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of age spots. After using it for a week or so, my skin felt smoother and softer; after two weeks, the age spots on the backs of my hands were less visible. I liked the coffee smell and found it encouraging in the morning - the psychological effect of the fragrance made me feel more awake. The oils in the scrub do separate overnight, so I find that I have to stir up the scrub every time I use it. When I forget to do it before starting my shower, I have to skip using it that day because it’s too much to fuss about once I’ve already started my routine.

I had several issues when using this coffee/sugar scrub. First, the container is made of glass, which is a pretty terrible idea for something you will be using with wet slippery hands over a hard surface. Second, the mixture separates really easily, which means you will need to mix it every time you go to use it. This is also part of why having the scrub in a glass container is a terrible idea. Unless you remember to mix this before you get in the shower, you will be attempting to stir the scrub while holding a glass container with wet hands. Third, the sugar in the scrub is basically regular granulated sugar, not large grain sugar. Thus, when using the scrub the sugar basically dissolved in my hands before I could get a good scrub in. The pomegranate ingredient is pretty sparse so that doesn't provide much scrubbing power. The scent is fine, but overall I would pass on this product and find something else. I enjoy dove pomegranate scrub.

This body scrub feels nice and smells great with pomegranate pieces and coffee sugar which does seem to help with nasty body icks. I don't particularly like the whole experience of using it. It had massive separation when I first opened it which is understandable, took a while to stir it all together and so far it's stayed mixed in but I do still like to stir it because the liquid slowly floats back to the top. The consistency is one of the runniest scrubs I've had, it's almost like a water scrub, and can be pretty messy to get out and apply especially in the jar which is good quality and glass but the jar doesn't go with this type of scrub.The pros are that it works, it smells and feels good, though I wasn't impressed by how liquidy it is which is probably how it's supposed to be but you can't tell by the pictures, but it does leave my skin feeling clean and I like the mix between very fine sugar and the bigger pomegranate scrubs inside. Also caffeine is a huge part of this, I did have faster than usual results with this especially after changing my exfoliators.

When I received this body scrub I was understanding that the shipping could make it separate and I took the time to stir it together. It started separating again immediately and by the time I got in the shower (maybe 25-30 minutes later), it was almost exactly like it had been when I first opened it! I did use it in the shower, but wasn't impressed with the "scrub" at all. It smelled nice and that was about all I can say for it.

I have a love/hate relationship with body scrubs. They work so well for exfoliating but getting all the scrub bits out of the shower has been a pain in the booty. I do like this one though. It has a nice scent and I enjoy the feel of scrubbing with it. It smooths out my skin and removes all the annoying dead skin that accumulates between exfoliations. I do wish the jar wasn't glass, though! I am always so afraid to drop it and have it shatter. I also recommend mixing it up before you use it because it tends to separate.
