I use a combination of prescription tretinoin and hydroquinone but I have to use it on and off. During the off periods I use a light retinol cream and a spot reduction azelaic acid. This cream is nice and hydrating and although I can;t say it helps with spot reduction, I like the vitamin C and bakuchiol combo.

This moisturizer is a great lightweight option that works well on its own or layered with other skincare products. It absorbs quickly without leaving any greasy residue. The consistency is thinner than I expected, but it provides excellent hydration. I prefer the packaging of this RAVIRL moisturizer over pot-style containers, as it seems to minimize the risk of contamination. It has a clean, fresh scent and I’ve been able to use it on my entire face, including the delicate skin around my eyes.I appreciate that the ingredients feel less artificial compared to many other products. It contains Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol derived from the Psoralea corylifolia plant. Bakuchiol is gentler on the skin, making it ideal for sensitive skin or conditions like rosacea and eczema. It also has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, which are beneficial for acne-prone skin. While Bakuchiol may take longer to show results compared to retinol, it's a safer option for sensitive skin. Retinol, a more potent derivative of vitamin A, offers faster benefits but can cause dryness, redness, and irritation, making it unsuitable for sensitive skin types and those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. I was also pleased to see Idebenone included in the ingredients. Given its affordable price, this moisturizer is an excellent value. Upon application, it makes my skin feel soft, plump, and instantly hydrated, without any greasy afterfeel. It leaves my skin supple, clear, and bright.

This cream is a great moisturizer. It is lightweight and absorbs quickly without any noticeable residue when it dries. It has a thinner consistency than I would expect with a cream. It also has a slight scent to it. The product comes from Korea and does have Korean writing on the box.

RAVIEL Bakuchiol Mela-Free Cream: This is a tube of cream meant to reduce dark spots on your skin. I appreciate that it's a tube rather than a pump that can get stuck, and I can roll up the tube as I use the cream and make sure I use it all. I don't notice a scent. The instructions are a little confusing. This looks like a moisturizer; the box it came in said to "evenly spread it on the skin" (I can't read what's on the tube because it's not in English). It didn't say when to apply this cream (after cleansing but before moisturizer?). On this listing, it says to make the cream into a foam and then wash out. I am assuming it's an error in the listing, but it would be good to have clearer instructions. I'm pairing this with a red-light mask a few times a week and am looking forward to the results!

This excellent cream from Korea feels lightweight on the skin and sinks in completely. I love that it is fragrance-free and is packed with hydrating and moisturizing ingredients. I included a photo of the full ingredient list so that potential buyers can evaluate the ingredients themselves. I don't know if it will lighten dark spots yet, but I'm very pleased with how soft and hydrated it makes my skin. Another win from K-Beauty!
