Do not force using animal strength on handle. Masa will expand on it's own like pie dough. Use a half gallon zip loc with the zipper and 2 sides cut open. Works great!

Um... not sure what's going on with this product? I would be satisfied if the bolt connecting the lever was working. Upon receiving it the bolt was bent and inoperable. All I really need is a new bolt, but kinda stinks not to have a product working out is the box. I'm one to resolve outside of posting a next to negitive comment but I'm not able to connect with them via a link as typical with other sellers. I will update once I get a resolution.

Haven't used it yet but appears to be well made and sturdy. Can't imagine how the more expensive presses could be that much better.

Bought it year and a half ago to use to make tamales. Today is the day I opened it up to make them. Needless to say I was pretty upset to see that it was broken. Never been used put up since it came in mail, never taken out of package till today. Total waste of money

Well my original order showed up broken and missing a piece, i wrote a bad review but didnt bother returning the item or anything. The seller sent me a replacement with out me even contacting them and this one is awesome. Arrived in good condition and works great.

No instructions provided. I learned later from a friend it's best to use parchment paper so dough doesn't stick to the press. We haven't used it since that one day it got messy and took forever to clean.

The handle does not come installed which is smart during shipping. but it is very easy to install..you simple unscrew and twist on the plate that stays down.
