Brilliant camera, really easy to setup and super images from it. User defined movement zones, email alerts and snapshots on alarm plus continuous recording. This one has them all.

It's perhaps better that they are bigger so that they stand out ...
I purchased two of the PHYLINK Pro cameras so that I can cover two sides of the house and ultimately have the images cross. I had a few pre-sales questions (though the cameras were being delivered as I asked the questions, so I guess not technically pre-sales) about the specifications, etc., and the support team at PHYLINK were quick to respond and helpful. The cameras are bigger than I expected. That's not a complaint, merely an observation. It's perhaps better that they are bigger so that they stand out under the soffit / bargeboard (depending on the location). That should help deter would-be criminals; I hope!Though I'm going to be using ethernet cables to hook both cameras it is good to see a large aerial that can be fitted to the device. As I said, I'm going to be using ethernet (CAT6 in this case), but I will still install the aerial for a Wi-Fi option. As per the previous reviews, the setup is a doddle. I hooked it up to both power and ethernet (required on first use as it can't guess your WiFi SSID and password, as you'd expect!), however, I thought I'd make it slightly harder for the camera and software by using a Wi-Fi extender. It's actually an extender of an extender as I live in a stone-built and so the Wi-Fi transmission is poor; hence ethernet is the chosen option for me. Needless to say it coped with this network daisy chain (they are, after all, all part of the same subnet, so it's to be expected). I downloaded the Android app - which gets a slamming in terms of reviews on Google Play Store (I didn't really find an issue with it, other than the three dots in the bottom-right that suggest settings but actually do nothing). I tested by using both the QR code to 'find' the camera and also by performing a search. Both worked without drama. You get to pick a password after this and then it's up to you to go through the settings and tweak as per your requirements. As it happens the default settings seem fine for general use.I've not gone through the instructions (as a typical bloke does) so I don't know what the camera consists of, but it did take a recording when I tested it without an SD card, so clearly there is a small amount of flash storage (though it could be RAM - I didn't power cycle it to see if the test videos were still there). Irrelevant if you have storage elsewhere (SD / NAS / Cloud), but I'm assuming this is used to buffer the video to ensure data integrity.I've not yet installed either cameras, but will be installing the appropriate cabling to allow communications with the house alarm at the point when I affix them to the house. Granted, I will doubt I will use the function due to the amount of false-positives that will be triggered by the IR sensor, but it's nice to have the option and certainly something best installed initially to save time in the long run.I'll update the review again once I've got them installed, etc.
