Avoid. Bad flickering blackout vignetting to the sides of the view.
The big issue here are the side blackouts or 'vignetting'. If you don't wear spectacles, even with the eye-cups fully extended and the eye-cups resting on your brow (a well known method to extend distance to the eyepieces) flickering blackouts/vignetting is a big issue. The Opticron Discovery has the same issue. Now Ive researched it, It's a well know fault!Actually all Opticron needed to do was give more extension to the eye-cups (1 or 2 mm) - the field of view would not have been impeded but the harsh flickering sides avoided.Get the Nikon P7 8x30 instead - an incredible binocular.
