I wish I was the President!
The fourth Dope album really does match all others. If you enjoyed Group Therapy and Felons and Revolutionaries especially, then you should love this. It seems to incorporate some of the industrial feel of the first album along with some of the more commercial feelings of the third, but also brings a new rap style to the table with songs like 'I wish I was the President' which sounds considerably different from anything before it. Featured on the album is the added bonus of the revamped demo, City Tonight, in 'The Life' which is a confident improvement on an already great song, which a lot of people may not have heard. There are also a lot of remixed versions of previously released songs which, while fairly unnecessary, are often effective alterations, such as F*ck The Police, which sounds fresher than ever in its studio state, and 'Spin Me Round' on the second disc sounds incredible in it's remix format. Then of course there are great tracks like 'Sick' which is always great to listen to, even if the remix is needless. The new tracks on the album are very impressive. The diversity of the songs makes the album greatly interesting, 'Always' is a particularly catchy, sing a long kind of song with a great chorus, whereas 'I wish I was the President' has some effective rapping and interesting lyrics, and the song 'No Way Out' is undoubtedly one of the most exciting Dope songs with its fast paced, explosive sense of urgency. Due to the fact that the majority of tracks sound considerably different, there really aren't any examples of fillers on the CD which definitely increases the quality of the record. With an incredible 23 tracks it's definitely worth checking out, even if you have never heard the other three albums, simply for its experimental quality, but Dope fans should definitely thoroughly enjoy this latest edition to the Dope catalogue.

back to the glory days
there is life in this band still. thank god. i thought they were in real trouble after the disappointing last album but they`re back with big riffs harsh language and enough agression to power the uk for about a month. it would appear that edsel dope and the boys have had a tough time of late and they vent their spleens all over this album in a fantastic blizzard of beats metal riffs and distorted industrial vocals. but in a nod to the old school they have reworked f**k tha police from their nu-metal tinged first album and covered people are people by depeche mode. its nice to have you back boys.

Think trashy Marilyn Manson with more aggression. Gets you pumped up for a gig every time.

Great recording on vinyl.
Was a bit wary as an old school metal head but pleasantly surprised.

Super Album

『We'll be back to Japan!』『We'll come back to Japan,I promise!』

1曲目からブッ●ュに「Go Home And D*e」って。

Must read before buying!!.... just my opinion
I don't usually go into much detail on reviews but this one I will.....I love the band Dope but this album definitely takes time to wear on you before you will like it. its not revolutionary or something new and improved really, it sounds like their album No Regrets, and in fact a few of the songs are the same as the songs on No Regrets except they changed a few words and made it out to be like a new song. And on top of that every song is very predictable.... Start out by saying something like " F It", then your have an awesome sound (head banging worthy), then add in some kind of alarm like a house alarm or police car, then mention somewhere in the song " F*** the Police" then repeat the same thing a few times and there ya go now you have a dope song HA HA, but really if you have high standards for having better songs as the new comes out your wasting your money, but if your the kind that doesn't care or it takes listening to songs over and over to let it wear on ya to like it like I do then eventually you will like this album. My thought on the very first song on this album to me is the bands Disturbed, Sevendust, and Marilyn Manson morphed and had a baby that's what it sounded like.

What Happened?
I am a fan of their earlier albums. When Group Therapy came out it seemed there was potential to evolve from a good to an exceptional band. Then American Apathy was released and fell completely flat. It sounds as though they just didn't care about the music anymore. All integrity and creativity gone. There are a few ok remixes of older songs.
